He was apparently trying to get the panel to keep quiet so he could give us a useless nickname or something. He started flapping his arms at the rest of them and didn't seem to know they were in a wide shot, so we could all see him.

Later on, it looked like Tom Jackson was pretty pissed off too about his microphone not working. He just started talking to Berman while someone else was speaking, again in the middle of a wide shot, as if they were in a commercial break.

Someone else told me they thought they heard Gruden calling someone a dumbass coming out of one of the commercial breaks.

I saw Berman flailing his arms and looking pissed off. The other two I don't remember. I DVR'd it so if you can recall when they happened I can go back and check it out.

I saw that, Berman was trying to control the conversation and everyone was just looking at him like a dumb ass. Even my wife said he looked like a schmuck.

That was Gruden making fun of the fans who were booing the "greatest draft picks of all time," like Phil Simms.

I love how Gruden truly does not give a shit.

I miss him on NFLN, where he kicked ass. Now he has to deal with tons of former players, a mediocre draftnik, and an inflated ego anchorman.

NFLN knows who is who. Mayock runs the show in terms of analysis, Eisen is the ships captain but knows that he isn't the show, everyone else is, and at the same time keeps everything light and is joyfully enthusiastic. The other guys like Faulk and Irvin know their place... which is tough to do with Irvin. He never shuts up.

My only complaint with NFLN was it felt like they were taking so many damn commercials. It kept forcing me to turn back to ESPN misery.

    Very good breakdown.

Berman acts like it's The Chris Berman Show, With Special Guest: The NFL Draft.

I thought the issue with Chris Berman is that the guys were talking to each other and didn't realize they were on the air so he had to get them quiet to begin the next segment.

I heard Jon Gruden drop the dumbass/asshole line (I forget which he said) and just chuckled. Really wish I didn't have Cablevision.

I have cablevision so no NFLN for me. The thought of listening to Michael Irvin though... I'd rather drive nails through my ears. He may be worse than anyone on ESPN. Him and Deion.

I don't think ESPN is bad at all. You have to remember that it's not aimed at football connoisseurs but the general public.

After he said that Gruden didn't say anything and didn't stop laughing periodically for about 2 minutes. It was awesome.

On that note I'm gald Suh is going to a good orgination.
