Dez Bryant or Another Number 1

Santonio Holmes says: "remember me?"

 

I am surprised that no-one has signed Dez by now, he would be useful No2/3 receiver for someone. Could be a case of him not wanting to go to a team that isn't challenging or it could be that he is not that good anymore, I don't really know.
But in my opinion, he is not for us. We are building for the future and Dez most definitely isn't a future, he's in the wrong side of 30.

 

For the same reason we just got rid of our malcontent WR.

Malcontents tend to not be helpful in developing a young team, led by a young QB. Especially when one is hardly on the field helping and the other is a shell of his self

 

Don't be angry. Dez is a head case and no reason to bring him in house when he is on the wrong side of 30. There is a reason 32 teams are ignoring him.

 

Does the fact that 31 other teams haven't touched him with 10-foot pole ring a bell for ya? It's not even a Tom Brady situation; we all know what kind of production he is capable of. Yes, other 31 GMs are fully aware of it, and STILL no GM dares to even touch him with 10 foot pole. Wanna guess why?

 

I'd be annoyed if either was dependable or as good as their name recognition.

 

Start with the team that had Dez. They may have the worst WR unit in the league and dumped him. And they know him in and out

 

Gordon's keeping his act together in NE because he wants to win a SB and knows if he steps one toe out of line Belichick will cut him. It wouldn't be the same here.

 

Plus really what has it been 3 weeks? Hardly a monumental achievement to act like a somewhat normal human being.

Dez is done.

As a player he reminded me of a Santonio Holmes type. Never elite in my eyes, more media hype than anything else.

In the locker room I don't know what kind of player Bryant was like so I won't insult him by comparing him to Santonio.
