After today I am just wondering a few things.

    1. Is RR protecting Sanchez at the behest of the rest of the team?
    2. Is Santonio's behavior the result of this? Just look at the stats and if you have dvr, the games. Santonio bottom line is open ALOT! but Sanchez's penchant for automatically going to the checkdown without looking upfield has not hendered santonio's game as much as it affects the TEAM. I think Tone is disgraced because Sanchez's lack of confidence and knowing he is protected.
    3. Is there a double standard for Sanchez that does not exist for other players? He threw 3 int's on CHECKDOWNS! And his sideline demeanor. Did Sanchez in fact QUIT!
    4. Just looked up Tone's stats for season. 51 rec for 654 yrds. 51 recs/16 games is 3.18 recs/game. 654yrds/16 games is 40.8 yrds/game and 12.8 yards/rec. How the hell do you sign a SB MVP/ strait up baller to a 50 mill contract to be a decoy. In a not so malicious way RR quit on THE TEAM by not DEMANDING more from Sanchez and leaving Schotty to deal with it. DID REX QUIT?

    1) Rex protecting Sanchez from what? - We had no other QB option.

    2) Holmes is NOT open alot

I guess titling your thread "Devil's Advocate" is a free ticket to post whatever silly nonsense you can think up.

    Wow.. Now it makes sense.

Sanchez has just been anti-holmes all season. Sanchez just doesn't like to throw to him because he is a "SB MVP/Straight up baller".

At what point does that make sense?

Holmes just isn't as good as everyone thinks. He could be a ton better if he put in the effort to be one of the best WR's in the league. Instead he has been a whiny bitch all season who has consistently given up on the team.

    1. No - as mentioned, there was really no other option. If there was and Sanchez kept playing, you would be right. If the Jets dont address qb, you will be right.
    2. Yes. I think Tone, Plax and Mason all realized Sanchez sucks and cant get them the ball consistently. But I dont think the blow-up is because Rex is protecting Sanchez because of point 1.
    3. I think the whole team quit. They knew the playoffs were unlikely and mentally checked out after the loss last week.
    4. Rex did not quit. He just might not be the coach we thought he was after last year. He has flaws in his game and did not improve them. The team was undisciplined all year. He has no clue what he is doing on offense. And the defense just did not have the personnel to be great this year.

The whole team quit I think it went all the way back to the Philly game.
