for a guy ( Mason ) who has every reason to crow or stick it in the Jet organizations face I think it was a decent article and that Mason was fair in everything he said .

I agree when he says that if you're an inconsitent player you cannot be a leader as other players won't take you seriously.

    That's Mark's biggest problem...

Can't really disagree with much he said, seems like a pretty fair assessment of not just Sanchez but the entire team.

People are way too quick to judge. The guy may have been a "cancer" in the Jet's eyes, but how much do we know of what happens behind the scenes? Everything he stated in this article is spot on. I love Mark Sanchez, but he's right, I just don't see that fire in his eyes like these other QB's.

This is getting to be a cliche

Lets get anyone remotely related to the Jets to come in and we'll see if he'll dump on the team. Let's see, Mason, who got chucked after week three, could be even better than a guy whose been on IR all year.

If he does, we'll get a quick story

After all, the Jets were the worst 8-8 team in the history of the NFL

AND lets not miss an opportunity to dump on Rex Ryan because he said he thought his team would win the Super Bowl. After all, most NFL media operates on the level of 13 year old girls

And please don't tell me that what Mason said was "Spot On". We know there were plenty of problems with the Jets this year. Who's going to be the next cut or traded Jet to chime in?

I was expecting him to do a hatchet job, but he really didn't. That was a pretty fair assessment.

Mason was never a cancer. He was just a savy vet that saw that not only Sanchez, but other components of the Jets wasn't ready to handle a superbowl run. Reember Mason choose the Jets because he felt Jets gave him best chance to get a Superbowl ring & when he saw that Jets were really pretending...he verbalized.....I can't say he did it correctly, but he verbalized. Jets had just lost 3 games in a row. Now mind u....Mason was a player that just left the Ravens {a very no-nonsense hard hitting...take no prisoners team} a saw that Jets were acting like pretenders, not contenders. He made a few coments....***Now this part gets more interesting....Rex should of respected what his vet WR was trying to say, instead they jetisoned Mason out & the rest is history. So my reality..."Rex Ryan is a fraud".....and is gonna be proven, cause he has in reality lost the team & unless they clean house....he won't be able to get it back. Ryan & Tanny are frauds & its a damn shame, because next to there superbowl season & Parcells era....This is Jets best possibility in a long time. They gotta get real or its nothingness city. Sanchez....played like a deer in headlight at end...Jets totally collapsed down stretch...I don't hear this mentioned much, but Jets collapsed.

He said that Sanchez would have gained respect if he played the way he did last year and got them to an AFC championship game...

Sanchez's numbers did improve, and he has always been inconsistent. He didnt have a chance to bring them to an AFC championship game because they arent in the playoffs. And thats the whole team's fault, not just his.

You know, it really would have helped if you read the article instead of showing your ass.

If you would have read the article, you would have realized that Mason didn't dump on the team at all, in fact he delivered some decent insight.

And let's be honest, our team is relevant and the biggest story in the NFL right now. Of course the media is going to ask anyone involved about what happened to cause this collapse. It's their jobs.

Yes, it appears that Mason is a stand-up guy....which begs the question.....why the f*** was he released ?

Was it because they couldn't use the 3-WR set effectively to get them all enough catches and Holmes was bitching that if Sanchez was a good QB and Schotty a good OC that he would catch 120 passes, Mason get his 90, and Burress catch 80 ????

Was Mason sacrificied to appease Holmes stat line ?

    To Holmes-

"If you wanna be a great receiver, you gotta be great with who ever is your quarterback"- A.J. Green

It's said that a rookie is more mature than 90% of this team.

Who knows? That could be a possibility. I still think that he was released because he didn't fit into our system and learning our playbook was too much for him.

Listened to it on Sirius, and was an outstanding conversation. He went to Schotty, and told him that he had no problem with him.

He said Sanchez is not a vocal leader, and he needs to play better to get the respect of the other players, to be a leader.

They spent most of their time talking about Sanchez.

The problem is that when you get rid of one of the KEY Players(Braylon) who helped Sanchez play the way he did last year, THIS is what you'll get.

How successful would Stafford be had he not had Megatron to throw to?

Granted, he'd be a bit more successful if only for the fact he doesn't have Schitty as his OC but still the point is that the JETS Brass FUBAR'd when they let Edwards go.

SOMEBODY PLEASE PRINT THIS STATEMENT OUT AND MAIL IT TO HOLMES' HOUSE.

    Amazing AND TRUE Quote.
