Forget wins and losses. as its bigger then the D-line and really more on QB/Coaching and overall playing better teams then us (cincy/seattle/pitt are all clearly better).

That said, the D-line is not holding their weight. all 3 of these guys where first round picks. Wilkerson just cashed in on a huge payday. and outside of cincy, we havent seen much, if any pass rush from these guys. no push, no collapsing of the pocket. and teams not forced to change their offense or ad blockers to deal with us.

i dont want ot hear "our corners stink" or "no sacks/pressure cause they are getting rid of the ball quick". ive looked at the all22 film on nfl replay for each game, some twice... these guys arent winning their matchups. We should be living in opposing backfields, making plays for losses, tipping passes, knocking down qbs. not happening.

i dont know if its coaching, or missing snacks (i posted in the offseason where he was double more then anyone on our team on passing downs) or guys simply not getting it done. but these guys need to start earning their paychecks whether we are winning games or not

i would argue that leonard williams has been really good, but no one else has been.

PFF said that yesterday richardson and wilkerson combined for a combined ONE QB pressure over 83 pass rush attempts. they've been disappointing to say the least. i wonder if wilkerson is still not back to 100% mentally after breaking his leg

    I agree.

Williams has been pretty good. Richardson seems to be dropping back a lot, though. That probably shouldnt be happening. Wilkerson just seems to be not be very good right now. Maybe he is still recovering.

Either way, DL has to be immensely better. Its one thing if you cant bring Big Ben down because he is a monster truck, but they barely got a hand on.

Are they still playing the 3-4 or 4-3?

It seems when they played the 3-4 they had more success.

I can't always tell while watching them on TV, but since you have seen the games multiple times on replay, what do you see?

Mauldin has also been invisible, so much for taking the next step

Maybe it's just a fact that our vaunted DL has been overrated for years. We still can't get any pressure at all without blitzing and every time we do that we allow a 20 yard play because we did.
