Remember that dude Jason Taylor? He got some kind of award last year because he was the best pass rusher in the NFL? 'Member that guy? WELL HE JUST GOT SCHOOLED TODAY BY D'BRICKASHAW FERGUSON. I watched Brick on nearly every snap, and he absolutely stonewalled Taylor- No sacks, no pressures, 2 tackles (One pass drop...???) Brick also helped block for a hundred yard runner.

I ain't crownin' him. I ain't talkin' bout consistency. I'm just saying today D'Brickashaw Ferguson went up against last year's defensive MVP and won. That's all I'm saying.

So to you, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, I tip my cap. Keep improving, young man.

Yeah he had a good game when he needed to. Next week he gets to reprise his worst game of last season. If he can hold Aaron Schobel off of Chad my opinion of him will go up a couple of notches.

Haven't looked at the film yet but I did not see Baker forced to stay in and help very much.

I didn't notice Baker in much as well. I'll be looking hard at that When I download the game this week, but from wht I saw he handled JT one on one for the most part.

I keyed on Brick a few times watching from home and he did a great job in both pass and run blocking on JT. Great job!!

DBrick has never been bad. That's the misconception. Today doesn't surprise me at all. Some were trying to scapegoat the guy. Fact is, he's fine.

Yeah – besides Brick – it was good to see Paul Hackets offense firing on all two cylinders today.

so does that put him at notch 2? (insert smiley)

but yeah, he played very well today; and i remember him actually run-blocking also. if he can continue that, then maybe he'll eventually live up to the hype.

I give him about a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10 where 6 represents enough performance to stay in the league but not much more. Getting up to 4 would put him on the keeper's list and give me hope that he could move a notch above that and become an impact player.

Why only 8 replies in a game where he does excellent?

But when he has a bad game?...8 pages.

People mostly use forums like this to vent. Not a lot to vent about today.

D'Brick hasn't developed the kind of following that people like Chad and Vilma have so there isn't a huge rush to defend him when he's under attack or to praise him when he does well. Once he gets a rep as a good player then this kind of thread would go for pages like the Chad and Vilma threads do.

D'brick played lights out against JT IMO....all this 'bust' talk is way too early

Yeah it really is. The NFL is not a league where the average player can step right in and play at a high level unless they have a lot of support around them. We lose track of that fact because of things like the Denver runningbacks, Kurt Warner and Tom Brady. The Denver runningbacks hit the ground running because the Denver offensive line is very good. Kurt Warner "suddenly" became a star at 28 on his 3rd try in the NFL and Tom Brady is just Tom Brady.

Put a good left guard next to D'Brick, a guy who is pro bowl caliber, and D'Brick would likely have been also. As it is it's going to take awhile for him to get where we need him to be. Will he get there? Who knows. But he's definitely not a bust at this point.

Wow what a welcome change from all the moronic Dbrick=Dbust threads.

I know as soon as he "lets up a sack" because Clarke lost his man and Brick has to cover for 2 guys again the usual Jackass's will come out of the woodwork.

If he walked onto an established line not one person would be saying crap about him. However Mangold (who incidentally is having more trouble this year) and Brick have to compensate for the utter piece of crap between them. When they have a good/great, hell at this point I would settle for mediocre LG, between them they will be just fine.

All right D'brick. Hopefully it is like last year, he just needs to warm up a little. Just quicker this time.

I thought he was excellent. For the most part, he's very good, he just seems to have monumentally bad lapses. When he's struggling, it's very obvious.

This Schobel game is a big one for him.

I think Taylor, as good as he is, is a favorable matchup for Brick because he's tall and quick, which plays to Brick's strengths. We're 3-0 now against Miami in games where these two have matched up, I expected Brick to play well yesterday and he did.

I am glad he is not D'Bust this week    Seriously he played a very solid game. Is it just me or are Leon and TJ missing cutback lanes? I see where the play is going, but sometimes on the backside of the play there is a huge cut back lane...

played a very solid game way too early for people to say he was a bust like they were saying it also helps when you got a rb like tj who is running over and stiff arming deffense backs
