we must trade down and get vernon davis. I dont give a sh-- what people think and the needs we need now look at these highlights on him. hands down enough said. He is a play maker and will be better than gates. http://youtube.com/results?search=vernon+davis&search_type=search_videos I think it was the 57 second one that was the best. but overall he is the best player in this draft I don't care what guys think. People who dont agree when the season start you will see
this is not a ordinary TE people like you need to look out the box and see what this guy can bring in to the jets organization. wake up the game is evolving
we dont need a QB, they have a plan for the DT spot they are just not telling anyone, this is an OT deep draft, if we want a RB we can move the 29th pick and get moreny or williams
I'm not that crazy about drafting a TE, but he does look like he could be a scary offensive asset. The Pats have been pretty consistant lately in drafting high profile TE's and we know how important that position is in SD, so mabey its not that far from reality
NOBODY is a must have. If we can get a good trade for moving down from 4 to 7-10 and still get him, I would be willing to support the drafting of Davis. But NO way do I take a TE at 4.
ABSOLUTELY must have him. The Jets 100%, no question, without a doubt, most certainly, completely, MUST have Vernon Davis. If they do not select Vernon Davis, the stage at Radio City might as well open up, and swallow whoever they take, because in the eyes of the world, that will be a more considerate end than having to live down the fact that the Jets passed on the GREAT Vernon Davis, who will no doubt win the super bowl each year of his career, for him.
I agree. Not very good value at that position. If they are interested in drafting Davis, They will more likely swing a trade with a team eyeing one of the top qbs
First time long time. I am a die hard fan of the Jets since the late 70's. I have to agree with getting Davis, he is a playmaker. If we can somehow move down a few spots in the draft and obtain another 2nd round pick, this would be great start for the rebuilding. So far so good for the new regime thus far. Lets hope the Gang Green doesn't blow it on draft day. We can talk about that all day! Back to Vernon Davis, this guy is awesome, I would love to have him! We haven't had a TE since Shuler.
Please tell me you're joking. If this was a team close to the superbowl needing a TE, then OK - fine use a first round pick on a TE. We're not close to the superbowl and have far too many gaps to fill to WASTE a first round pick on a TE.
I agree with the Jets taking Davis, not only because he will be a playmaker, but especially because Chad needs a playmaker at the TE position because of his weak arm and accuracy on short passes. Period.
