I thought this picture was hilarious. Watched the game and after the 2 minute warning the Jets came up with this formation, i just had to take a picture of it. One lineman and the 10 other guys were back in coverage.
If you saw that part of the game, right before he got in his stance, he did a chest pound a few times trying to pump himself up. You know he wanted the sack sooooooooooo bad.
It's all about making the other team think "what the hell are they doing?" IF you can keep them guessing you have made your players jobs easier! Their QB had to be thinking where is my hot read? / Where does my receiver have an advantage? When I saw this during the game I was praying he got a sack or even a hurry!
It is like that scene in "The Replacements" when the Olineman puked in the huddle after eating hard boiled eggs, and they had to keep shifting the huddle over.
The Jets should have put 5 defensive backs within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage and made them wonder if a blitz was coming. Now that would have been funny.
On the second play I made a point of watching to see what he did. He actually engaged one blocker for about a second, and then he seemed to say "WTF am I doing?" and just stopped and watched the QB throw downfield. Made sense to me.
Bobby Hamilton and Matt Chatham were playing bump and run on the WRs in the trips formation.......... shutdown corners right there  Jonathan Vilma, and practically every other DB on our roster were standing on the goal line.............
