Was it me or were we playing both Jenkins and pouha at the same time alot in the first quarter? It looked like Pouha was in at right end (covered by the LB) in the 3 4 but then I saw some 4 3 mixed in. Pouha looked active and may be a load if the O lines have to double Jenks.

Pohua seems to be the new starter with marques douglas gone and you're right, both him and Jenkins were shifted around. On some plays Pohua was a the NT,some times it was Jenkins,Sometimes there was no NT and I once saw Pohua lined up at linebacker.

Pohua played really well last night. I'm liking our D-line more and more. Just need Jenks to stay healthy...

I liked seeing the 4 man of Ellis, Jenks, Bo, & Devito

And I have to give props to Devito who chased down the 51 yard shovel pass. That man can MOVE for a big guy...

Pouha is going to get a lot of time on the field this year.. as a Nose Tackle with Jenkins out, as an end splitting time with DeVito, and probably even some 2 man lines with just him and Jenkins. Pouha was really one of the unsung heroes of the defense last year.

I think he has potential as an end, the Ravens used lineman the size of NTs all the time at end when Rex was there.

Barring injury, I think we'll see Ellis in just about all the time, with a Jenkins/Pouha/DeVito rotation for the nose tackle, RDE spots in order to keep them fresh, especially Jenkins. Then on pass rushing downs we will see Pace, Taylor and/or even Gholston come in for 4 man fronts.

1st play of the game loss of 4 yards. I thought they did great or the giants o line was slacking.

Well they were missing 3 starters on the line I think. But thats what the Jets starters are supposed to do to fringe starters/backups. Dominate them. It would have been troubling if they got beat, like Lowery and Coleman against the backup receivers.

We were missing the best center in the game and had a 2nd year guy playing LG, and our line didn't look like shit, although the quality of our guys is higher, imo
