Matt Mayock's infatuation for Cutler is downright disgusting, borderline stalkish. After every poor throw Cutler makes, which has been a lot, all he has to talk about is his arm strength. Cutler is not having a good day. he is throwing the ball late, behind guys or leading them too much. He is also showing some bad feet. He is definately not showing that he is worth the # 4 pick. The guy that has been the most impressive is Omar Jacobs. All Mayock can talk about is his release but he has been pretty much perfect on all his throws.

Good. Then all of this discussion about him being a 'workout warrior' can go by the wayside and he'll be chosen where teams think he has value.

That has been his story all of his collegiate career, strong arm, questionable accuracy, decision making, and inconsistant, not the guy to use a 4th pick overall on.

r u nuts, he had a great combine performance. he hit a receiver on a 40 yard bomb perfectly in stride, n threw the three( out ) route perfectly and had zip on the ball. Dunno what combine u watched cuz i didnt see him under throw any 1. If u hate Cutler than just say it, but give him props 4 what he did 2day

    I hate Cutler

  7. I like your thinking my metalhead friend. Unfortunately they'll come up w/ some other excuse like that the "media" is responsible for his value and nothing more.

I've been watching the combine. Cutler hasn't been that bad, not great. Croyle has been surprisingly very good, extremely accurate.

And yes, Mayock needs to cool off a little about Cutler. It's starting to get embarassing.

What I need to know is, what has you in such a rush that you need to abbreviate the word "for"?

    Right. I agree top-to-bottom.

  12. Im not crazy about Mayock. He seems to play favorites and tends to overlook good prospects. I love Cutler but think Mayock has gone way overboard w/ the hype.

My opinion is the combine drills are all BS. If we draft Cutler at 4 we should draft him because we liked what he did on the field in a game situation not because he throws hard. I want to see how he delivers the ball with a man in his face or if he is calm when things get tough and the game is on the line. Cutler has been hyped up but it's been more because he was not on teh national stage much at his school bot so much because he's a "workout warrior". I mean the idea that the senior bowl moved him up this far is rediculous the guy didn't do much at all there.

I'm starting to think that the Jet interest in Cutler is a smoke screen. I think they want M. Williams.

At this point I think I'd be very happy with a tandem of Williams-Ellis in a 3-4. Although I'm not sure how much of a smokescreen this is. You have to examine all available options in the first round, and the Jets do have something of a conundrum at QB.

Cutler did 23 reps of 225 and Hawk could only manage 24. Cutler has strength and a quick release.

I think he will be the 2nd QB taken.

Kurt, anyone who thinks the media has any effect on what players are chosen where during the draft aren't intelligent enough to warrant the attention.
