    Ever see Ronaldo's girlfriend?

There was a guy on here who used to start threads about her and just post her pictures. Abyzmul hijacked one of them, which was pretty darn funny.

it's amazing how a world class athlete can throw a ball like that, it's not his fault he's picked one up but that is an embarrassing attempt to throw a football. On the plus side one of the Jets tweeted out a photo of him jumping and the man can jump.

I've wondered about that too. You'd think that the throwing motion would be 'natural' to an athlete like that.

It would be the same as watching Sheldon trying to kick a 45 yard field goal...

Somehow My wife looks less girly throwing a football than him.

    Pretty much this.

Throwing a ball has nothing to do with being a great athlete. The ball is egg shaped and although I tried like 100 times, I never was able to throw a tight spiral. That thing is weird for us folks who have never seen egg shaped ball for almost all of our lives.

Nice avatar by the way. It really rocks.

Not really. Think about the lack of throwing in soccer and then of course how they throw in soccer. And of course the weird shape of the football.

Side note, what I really find strange is people throwing opening pitches. They make it look so difficult

I forget who actually started it. I want to say Jabba, but I could be mistaken. All I remember vividly was you bombing the thread with pictures of the Iron Sheik haha.

Yeah, I think I was more so thinking of pitches and how ridiculous some of those look. The football part makes sense, I suppose.

Yeah and you think on top of that, I'm guessing these guys didn't grow up watching or playing our football or even attempting it.

You're right, it was Jabba, I think that may have been one of the threads purged from the BS Forum because he started a ton of those perv threads in BS and no results come up for threads started by him in that forum.

for me throng football is easy, it's one of the useless skills I have in life but many people struggle. It's not so much throwing a nice spiral but it's being able to throw period. His coordination is all in his legs(which makes sense) but being a top notch athlete you'd think he'd have the ability to at least look semi-athletic when throwing a ball even if he has never done it before but I remember watching Curtis martin play basketball once and that was on par w/ Ronaldo trying to throw a football.:D

I never realized throwing a football with a spiral is hard until I saw people unfamiliar with the sport try to do it and I was like WTF are you doing? why are you holding it like that? haha

I think growing up an American male in a football fan family you become trained at a young age how to throw a football that it becomes natural and you don't realize that you went through a time when you couldn't do it either because you were so young.

That's part of the reason I can't get into soccer and the world cup. It's just not something myself and the majority of my country was brought up into. As an American, I feel like I don't want to root for another country besides the U.S.A. and I also have a hard time getting behind our current team / the sport because it's like as a country we aren't fully invested so it doesn't feel right.

If we seriously trained and brought up our best athletes in soccer like the other countries do, like say guys like LeBron James, Adrian Peterson, Calvin Johnson, Michael Vick etc.. is there any doubt we wouldn't destroy the rest of the world? That's why I can't watch the world cup. It's like our country is sending a minor league team to everyone else's big event.

I still see a lot of people that can't throw a spiral even very athletic friends that played the game but I think most have an athletic throwing motion at least.

There's no doubt we'd dominate soccer if our best athletes played soccer.

Im portuguese and even tho i do enjoy more football then soccer , you cant really say you would dominate soccer lol its a total difrent sport while Wide Receivers and Dbs could defenitly play no other position on a football field could play also not all your NBA players aside from maybe few Point guards.
Plus not to mention guys like Peyton , Tom Brady, Big Ben who couldt do anything else in sports beside Quarterback. Soccer everyone has to defend and atack aside from the GK.

the level of athlete at WR, RB, corner, guards and wings in the NBA are on a completely different level. No, the Brady's and mannings couldn't play but there are more than enough that would make us a soccer power.

This is a bit like saying that Stephen Hill's going to be a great NFL receiver based on his combine performance. All the raw athleticism in the world won't necessarily make you a player. While the US would undoubtedly be better, perhaps even a major force, if the top sports performers played soccer but equally likely is that is the third and fourth tier talents who are the ones who really make the grade. Being skilled to a pro level at one sport pretty much guarantees a certain degree of athleticism and co-ordination, it doesn't mean that you will be great at another where your particular skillset may not be as relevant.
