Happy Independence Day, everyone! As flawed as it may be, I do love this country. Thanks to those who have served to protect this great nation, especially those who gave their lives for it.
I've said it for years. I would vote in a yes in a heart beat... But the states that want to separate into a new country must take Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Arkansas at a minimum. I never get over the irony of the group that hates handouts, many of them live in states that have to be supported by other state's surplus to survive.
Each and every state mostly needs each other. That’s why the union is a fantastic place to live. Once we get past the current political climate of the 89 year old candidates, I truly believe we will find a candidate to unify. The sad part about all of it is that there are candidates out there that would be great at unifying in my eyes (RFK Jr. & Tim Scott mainly. Joe Manchin and Larry Elder as honorable mentions). DC wants us divided. They can pull the wool over 80% of the American public’s eyes while they sit in government for 30 years and continue insider trading and raking in millions on book deals and Netflix series. With all that being said, we’re still in the best place on earth to live. God bless America and thanks to everyone who served including @Cman65 @blackssmagic and anyone else I am not aware of.
Amen. We really need someone that isn't coughing up moth balls to lead this nation and honestly I don't care which party they come from. In a perfect world it would be an independent.
Until a viable third party emerges nothing will change for the better. The health insurance industry and Big Pharma have too much sway as an aside but that's a discussion for another day that we can't discuss.
