Pretty weird for a team with recent success and a pretty recent Superbowl to do this. I could understand if a team like the Bengals or Browns it but some teams should be above that type of banner. Some teams in sports dont even put up divisional banners anymore.
Is this like schools who give out participation trophys to the kids who didn't win. Lame banner I would be embarrassed if I was a Colt or Colt fan to see that.
Rex has them. He pulled them out for years afterwards during performance review meetings in an effort to keep his job. They are probably hanging in Buffalo now, next to his "top 5 ranked defenses" trophies
The messed up thing is that it actually could be worse. We go to Detroit for that. Hanging a banner for a wild card playoff loss:
I can kind of understand it for Detroit, it's not like they've won anything recently. The Colts don't need to do crap like that.
i've got no problem with it. teams hang divisional banners all the time, and that really doesn't mean squat. winning playoff games is more of an accomplishment, as is reaching the final 4. so the Colts chose to highlight that, even tho they also won the division.
those banners make you scratch your head on the motivation for that. I'm happy and proud, the only display here is in the stadium HoF and their offices HQ. Nothing in stadium other than a few pennant banners on the north end.
Is that where Roethlisberger takes his bitches to impress them when courting? Oh wait, he just rapes them in the bathroom of a college bar- no courting necessary
I thought this was a respectful discussion for those interested. That doesn't seem respectful. But maybe I'm in the wrong forum. _
