To make room for Holmes and the re-signing of Howard Green per Schefter and Manish on Twitter. Good moves. Both WRs suck and both of their replacements don't.

well I think Patrick Turner has been waived more than the amount of passes he has caught thus far in his career

Yes I don't get the infatuation the Jets staff has with him. He has not done much.

Wow. The shit that these scrub players go through must be brutal. Can't be easy being signed, waived, signed, waived, over and over.

Clowney is a paperweight on this team......he's had so many chances to prove himself...and hasn't. So fuck him.

Yeah it must be rough going week to week without knowing if you will be there, but still many would take that lifestyle over a normal 9 to 5

Yeah, but we let go of a guy that's averaging 14 YPC to get one of these clowns on the roster. (no pun intended)

Just to be clear, when was/is Holmes officially allowed back with the team? Right after the game or this AM? If I were the Jets, I'd have Sanchez throwing him passes the second his suspension ends.

I'm pretty sure Holmes could return as of this morning.

Similarly after the Ravens game, Mike Tomlin said that Rothlisberger would be back 'tomorrow'

As I understand it, whenever the team reports this morning, he will be there. Exciting!!!!!!

He's been with the team for the whole month. Just not playing.

    We're scary good now.

Mmm... not sure I like having only 3 WRs + B. Smith with the way we are playing on O...

I would've kept Clowney on the roster and cut somebody else. Still waiting to understand how Cumberland can contribute to this team... up to now he hasn't.

Hope this whole sign/waive/sign/waive process gets Clowney to train better to hold on to his roster spot.

We've been talking about Clowney since Bush was President.

"I'm ready to move on from Clowney."

Always loved his speed but he never seemed to find a steady role where he could contribute, on specials or in the offense. With Holmes back it's hard to imagine now.

I hear ya... but I think we need a true 4th WR and atm Clowney is one of the better options out there.
Would've liked if we had signed Blair White while he was on the Colts PS...

I'm just glad that we're able to pick big howard green back up, It felt almost like rex was offering him up as a conciliation prize to the raven's after the trevor price signing (although I guess they could still pick him up today before we do)

Regarding Clowney....in the words of Chris Berman: " If not NOW...WHEN?"

I don't think he'll ever get over the hump.....
