So last week Bowles doesn't use a timeout after the two minute warning, now this week he punts with four minutes down two scores. Seriously, he might actually have less clock managment sense than Geno.
The punt was much worse than the timeout thing......I also hated the punt against New England with 5 minutes left and 4th and 6th in their territory Also, the lack of urgency in the Philly game as well as today starts from the top and it's bullshit......We even had a delay of game before a punt today which is absolutely ridiculous when you're down multiple scores in the 2nd half as the clock just ticks away Will he ever wake up?
There is some logic at play there, I don't know what it is, but there is a pattern to what he's doing. I'm not sure what the hell it is however because it seems to go against the grain of "normal" football logic. Whatever it is, after this game he's got to cut the cute shit he's trying to do with the clock out. It's not winning us any games and, frankly, somewhat worrisome. It's only his first season but the leash is going to be short for this kind of garbage.
Surprisingly, i don't have any problems with his clock mgmt. He's explained it the past 2 weeks in post game press conferences, which i believe both began with something like (paraphrasing) " the defense couldn't make a stop...". If a Def doesn't get it's 3 & outs, it doesn't matter when you take a TO, since it becomes useless (or wasted). But one thing i do want to see them work on is when they are down points HUSSLE to the fucking line every play!
