This contradiction weakens his speculation that the Jets could be interested in Landry. Great writing.

If he comes cheap then fine but even if we add him we are still going to need another S in the draft.
Smith is a coverage nightmare and Leonhard and Pool are injury prone.

We need a coverage safety not LaRon Landry.

I understand that but i'm thinking they will probably be resigned?
I'd rather pick up Lowery, again then Landry.

This guy seriously sucks balls in coverage and can't stay healthy to boot. Fuck him.

I'm not exactly the biggest landry fan in the world. He's a Hard-hitting, injury-prone safety who is notorious for mental lapses in coverage.

Having said that, the fact of the matter is that there are very few superb cover-safeties in the NFL, and I don't see any in this free-agency class. This really sucks because this draft is not particularly deep at safety. Beggars can't be choosers, and thus, you could make the argument that a team as desperate for safeties (I think we need to bring in multiple bodies at that position) as the Jets are would be wise to invest in a relatively cheap option like Landry.

    However, I still probably pass.

I remember, while Lowery was here, there was talk about possibly moving him to Safety.

Did he play any snaps as a Safety for the Jags this year? And if we bring him back, then is that what'd he play for us?

He was platooning at safety for us before he was traded and he was our best coverage safety. It made no sense when Tanny traded him. I think he started at safety for the Jags last year.

Great, Eric Smith and Landry double team.

Both hit hard, both are as dumb as a wall and both do the 40 yard dash in "sometime Thursday".

Way to go out on limb there Cimini.

Breaking news! The Jets may be interested in a Free Agent Olineman or OLB. You heard it here first!
