I heard it on T.V. I really don't know how accurate it is. Does anyone think Chansi is a welker type WR? If not, who would Chansi game be compare to.
From what I have seen of Stuckey he has good hands and pretty good speed. I cant say because I havent seen enough of him. But I like what I have seen from him. I would like to see him get more playing time next season. Stuckeys problem last season was the emergence of Keller. Keller isnt really an ideal starting TE because he isnt a good blocker so the Jets put Baker there a lot and had Keller in the slot or in a 2 TE set taking away playing time and chances for Stuckey.
Stuckey has potential to be good but he's not even close to being like Welker. He could play his role in the offense but he would not be close in production or effectiveness. Welker is just on his own level in being able to create separation on his option routes.
Yeah, Welker has caught 100+ passes two straight years; Stuckey has 30 career recepts... too early to compare Stuckey to anybody IMO.
I mean, could I see Stuckey having a Welker-like career? Maybe. Has he done anything close yet? No. Has he had the opportunity? No.
Everytime Stuckey caught the ball he ran his ass off and picked up some good YAC. He seems very elusive and has great awareness. So yes I do think he can be like Wes, we just need to use him more.
Too early to even mention Stuckey and Welker in the same sentence, but the guy he most reminds me of is Santana Moss, but more of a north-south guy than Moss. Good hands, decent separation and extremely fast and elusive. We saw more of Stuckey at TC than most Jets fans got to see of him all year. I don't think Mangini gave him enough playing time for some reason, and then there was the injury. So yeah, I'm high on Stuckey and Clowney both and expect a good year from them.
Wow, is this what threads are coming to? We're gonna start posting shit like this, without even a reference to a person or even a channel? I just heard the voices in my head tell me that the Jets are going to win the Super Bowl, and felt the urge to post it.
Before clowney came along stuckey was the next big thing. Now it seems the man love is more for clowney
They are similar in ways. They are both short, quick, shifty, have great hands, and are willing to take a hit over the middle. Welker is obviously the better receiver at this point and way more polished. I can see where the comparison would come from though.
Unfortunately we have not seen enough of Stuckey to see what he can do. Hopefully we will know exactly what we have by the end of next season. Im just glad Rex will give the young guys a chance to play.
put Moss on the other side of Stuckey and he could put up similar #s to the vastly overrated Welker. Obviously I'd give Welker a big edge right now and Stuckey may never be as good BUT Welker overrated.
I'm not so sure Welker can be considered "overrated." Didn't he put up good numbers before Moss even got there? Maybe I'm wrong on that (not sure of the timeframe), but Welker deserves all credit due, IMO. I do hate the little weasel with a passion, mind you.
He's never played in NE w/o Moss. As a dolphin he had a nice rec year but in 2 years had a total of 1 TD.
I also heard that R. Ryan was compared to D. Shula.... David Shula that is....:breakdance::lol:
