Good for him and glad to see the positive reaction. I just hope we get to the point in society where there no longer needs to be major declarations of ones sexual preference with news stories to follow because it's widely accepted by society. The good thing is that we're getting there as a country, although in most parts of the world that aren't North America and western Europe, being gay is still not generally acceptable. Which is sad.

Jonathan Martin has never come out and announced that he is gay. In fact, in a recent interview with BOTH Essence and Jet magazine(s), he stated that he is a heterosexual. In your original post you stated he was a "gay offensive lineman."
