I am sorry, but I am very happy about this win as I was about last week's win. I do have some bones to pick though. Why are we constantly sending J. Cotchery on streak patterns on play action deep throws? I love Cotchery as much as the next Jets fan but c'mon, Dustin Keller probably can out run Cotchery on a straight away. Lets get Stuckey involved on deep streaks or even Coles, and Clowney once he gets healthy. Lets just take advantage of Cotchery on what he is great at, that is working middle of the field.

one bomb thrown to coles today into double coverage and underthrown - awful pass

nothing deep went to cotchery...the INT did, but that was an ugly out when we should have been running the ball

I think it was the bomb to Coles. Maybe good for keeping the d on guard... Brett we love you, God forbid you have a Penningtonesque Rotator injury, but please, please if you're reading this...have mercy on us... we really can only take so much... only 2 heartattax on this win.

It may not have been a bomb per-se, but that play action pass to Cotchery was still a deep pattern. The Jets have gone deep to Cotchery, I am pretty sure, every game thus far. Except for today, technically. Other than the 1 completion in the first game against the Phins, this hasn't worked out. Cotchery is not a deep threat WR. He does not get much separation from DB's, but he is great at working the middle of the field out muscling and out hustling guys.

Just a concern I have, so yeah, I am voicing it. If you don't like it, sue me I guess.

I think you're referencing about a 9 yard pass with about 25-30 yards of run if you're talking the long completion to Cotchery. That was not a deep pattern, it was bread and butter Cotchery-- right down to breaking 2 tackles on the YAC and being caught from behind at the 6 YL.

No, I am talking about the interception that was run back for a TD. As I said, I know it's not a "deep" throw per-se, but still you need a WR who has some great speed if you are going to run an out pattern like that. The Bills CB didn't respect Cotchery's speed and was on step by step with him, trailing on his route.

Brett is looking for Cotchery deep, trying to force him the ball too much. Favre is trying to make a Greg Jennings out of Cotchery, but Cotchery is just not that type of WR. I don't know if it's Favre, or the coaching staff, who is trying to get Cotchery the ball on deep streaks. Against the Raiders, D. Hall picked off one of those passes and it was unsuccessful in another attempt. Against the Chiefs, they picked off one of those passes and another one was unsuccessful. I would just simply like to see those patterns being designated for Clowney or Stuckey.

Cotchery can be that type of guy...he's just not doing it.

It's not like he's not great after the catch...he's nasty after the catch.

Yes, he is very nasty after the catch. This is where I would like to see the Jets use Cotchery. Throw him a 5 yard slant and he can break tackles and make it a 25+ yard gain. Or throw it to him middle of the traffic, and he will jump up in the air not fearing a big hit and snatch out the ball to convert on 3rd and long. I just don't like the idea of having Cotchery running streaks, those reps should be going to Stuckey and Clowney.

Ok, so I got bashed for bringing this up after a win. How about now? Can we please for the love of god stop throwing the ball deep to Cotchery? The guy does not have good speed. Activate Clowney, or at least throw the ball deep to Stuckey. Dustin Keller is probably faster than Cotchery. Please, no more of those stupid deep throws to our slowest WR. It's just insane to me that the coaching staff have no idea how to use the talent in the team. They have no idea how to make adjustment.

It seems like he doesnt even like to go for the deep ball, because he always stops or somethin
