He couldn't handle it last time. What makes Patriots fans think hes going to be able to handle it now.

Because he no longer has an all-time great WR to throw to.

Revis is also irrelevant in this game since he can't cover Moss.

Whoever Revis is covering is basically going to run a pointless route on purpose just to get Revis out of the play.

I think the trick is, trick who revis is actually covering. So then Brady will be confused as fuck. Show that Revis will be covering like Welker but then switch to a different reciever as the play breaks down.

Rex wont allow the best DB in football to be negated by a shmuck receiver running pointless routs.

Welker is the only top receiver I have never sceen revis play against. This is his chance and i hope that happens.

Welker: 3 catches for -6 yards.

Considering how well Brady has been protected this year, and how much trouble the Jets have had pressuring opposing QBs, I wouldn't be so sure this game is going to unfold with Brady constantly having a guy in his face rushing his throws.

Or send Revis on the blitz the first passing down. Why the FUCK not?

Randy Moss was good for 1 big play a game. He hardly tried 90% of the snaps he was in. I don't think losing Randy is as big a deal as some people on this board make it out to be.

The 2 game split last year? And Jets D is worse than last season.

This is going to be the Jets D "coming out party". Not in a gay sense, but in a best defense in the league sense. I see 3 sacks, 1 pick and a forced fumble. Lets do this!!

It appeared Ryan influenced the play calling last week, or started calling the plays again himself..and it showed. I would be worried if I was Brady.

Statistically you're right but the talent level on this year's defense I think is higher considerably. I suspect that there were some growing pains with the additions of Cromartie and Pool, as well as Wilson. Losing Rhodes, Sheppard, Strickland, and Jenkins has thrown things off balance for a while.. I think the D is starting to gel the way the fanbase/league expected a Rex Ryan Defense to perform. There have been a handful of touchdowns that have come solely from miscommunication on defense.

It forced teams to cover him down the field away from the play.

Being able to put a premier corner on Welker (unless the Pats make him line up way outside and run Go routes and POCO all night long) effectively puts your best corner playing MAN at the LOS doubling in Zone coverage.

(i.e...keeps him 10 yards closer to the LOS.....which by extension means 8 in the box, by virtue of the COVERAGE)
