I figure this to be very relevant since the Jets next game is on FOX. Especially since I know Cablevision is quite prevalent in Long Island and Westchester. Haven't heard any news, although Francesca interviewed the president of FOX stations and it was pretty much Francesca telling the guy that Cablevision is looking better because they want to go to arbitration and the FOX guy babbling on that Cablevision is hypocritical and all of this other stuff. Although he was saying something about Cablevision paying nothing for Fox & My9 and it seemed like he was saying that what Cablevision is really paying for is Fox's cable channels. Maybe someone can shed more light.
If this isn't resolved by the Jets game I will go on a mass killing spree. Or maybe just watch it at the bar.
I don't know anything specific regarding this case but doesn't it seem like every damn year Cablevision is losing a major channel(s) for at least some time? I understand it happens but the frequency seems much higher with them.
thank god i have directv and more importantly sunday ticket which will get another nice day on sunday with the but.
It's really not. Fox has already done this with Dish network and Time Warner. It's just cablevision's turn now. I'm glad they are taking a stand even though the Jets game is scheduled for Fox 10 days from now.
Yeah, or watch it here..I watched all the Fox games last week. It was like having Sunday ticket for free. http://www.firstrow.net/sports/american-football.html
FUCK!!! i didn't know next game was going to be on fox i actually didn't give a fuck about the whole thing till right now, because i hardly ever watch fox or my 9
World Series is on Fox too. If somehow the Yankees make I can't imagine their sponsors will pay them a penny if 3 million households in the NY area won't be watching. I'll bet it's settled then.
From what I understand Fox is asking double what NBC, ABC and CBS were. For once this isn't on Cablevision.
Actually, they are asking for more than ABC, CBS, NBC and somebody else COMBINED. Oh, and ABC is DISNEY so that also includes the Disney channels and ESPN.
If Time Warner did something like this I would immediately switch over to Verizon FiOS. You have control in this situation. Hurt their purse-strings and other companies will be careful in the future.
Huh? Cablevision isn't doing it and it already happened to Time Warner. Weren't you watching when it did?
I'm pretty sure this is the first time Cablevision has asked for an arbiter in one of their disputes. This one's on News Corp. But if they can spin this to make Dolan look like an even bigger piece of shit, I'm all for it.
