Tebow could have beaten the Steelers at home (did it already), and could have matched Peyton's 3 INT loss to the Falcons. So far... the team is at best equal to last year's team even with full QB support and much better preparation. No, I'm not saying Tebow is better than Manning, that is absurd. I am saying that the team is not going to fare much better this year than last year, IMO. Any Tebow fan would have to admit though, that even with the 3 INTs, the game was not as fugly as it was oftentimes with Tebow under center. Manning also almost led an amazing comeback. Interesting that Demaryius Thomas is the clear cut favorite receiver target-wise over Decker. I would have thought Decker would get the targets, while Thomas got the big plays. Last night Thomas got both. We'll see how the Broncos do sans Tebow, but I think they should have kept him and built for the future. And the Jets should have gotten Manning... Just kidding Sanchez fans... just kidding. But seriously...
This is awful. Sanchez helped the Jets beat Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh before. Talk about short term memory
Post is accurate, Broncos will be regretting this decision for years to come. They sold out a future for an iffy couple of years with an old man with his face staple to his neck. They will not even make the playoffs this year, how smart is the horseface going to look at that point?
Out of curiosity, what is absurd? I said: - Peyton Manning is clearly a better QB - The offense does not look fugly like it did with Tebow oftentimes - Jets should have gotten Manning - Broncos do not appear to be on track to win two playoff games, which is what they need to do in order to show improvement from last year's success (in my opinion) - Tebow (in my opinion) was a better long-term answer than Manning, especially if they don't win more playoff games (prediction) I think those are reasonable statements... they could be proven wrong after the Broncos win the SuperBowl this year, but absurd? Why?
I think they had something going last year and would have built upon the success. Hard to pass on Manning, but you have to be forward-thinking. It was as bad a decision as me drafting Wes Welker in the 1st round this year. lol. My team is still beast though. Fox is a bad coach. He's no Belichick. Peyton Manning is the real head coach of the Broncos. Last year, he rode Tebow's coat tails, dissed him in public, and then helped to dismiss him. This year he is on Manning's jock, which is understandable. Give Tebow a coach like Jim Harbaugh and see what happens. I won't go the route of some others and say Elway wanted Tebow out because he was jealous of the attention. I never agreed with that viewpoint. Elway brought in Manning... he is not jealous. He just wanted a pocket-passer right away and not a guy who plays like... well, a young Elway.
completely agree, history will forget about Fox though, it will be remembered as Elway's move. I wonder how many people are aware that Tebow's paltry completion % in his first string of starts was actually better than Elway's.
You are right. Considering I am a New York Jets fan and I don't give a shit about the Broncos I probably won't have anything to say about it. But I'm sure Backup QB will make a thread about it.. That is a given. And you will have his back, that's a given too. It's so cute how you guys come together out of love for your Tebow.
But yet you still found time to comment about it in the Tebowmania forum, but don't worry, it wouldn't be nearly as fun without you and those that think like you constantly trying to degrade Tebow, it ends up just adding to the legend of the story in the long run.
This is a New York Jets forum, not a Tim Tebow, or in this instance, a Denver Broncos forum. But I'm glad I am adding to his legend. I am SO looking forward to seeing my name being in chapter 6 of THE LEGEND OF THE GREAT PUNT PROTECTOR: THE TIM TEBOW STORY. Don't worry - I'll autograph it for you, its the least I can do since I'm adding so much to his legend.
every day I wake up and wrack my brain trying to come up with new and abscure ways to compare Tim Tebow to established quarterbacks. I'm excited!
Actually, it is a Tim Tebow forum. Perhaps the "Tebowmania" title gave away the secret. From the intro thread started by the GangGreen.com founder: "As it was promised earlier today, here's a forum dedicated to all things Tebow. You can worship him here all you want, just please don't take it out to any other forums." Thank you __________________ *** Owner & Creator of TheGangGreen.com *** ...
This thread is comparing the team's performance under Tebow and Manning, regardless of Manning's success in the past. I clearly stated that comparing Manning to Tebow as QBs is absurd. What are you arguing again?
I am seriously laughing my balls off right now. It's week two, and we lost a close game to a very good Falcons team, on the road. Tebow's wet dreams involve being 1/10th of the quarterback Peyton Manning is. I'm legitimately wondering if you are a victim of fetal alcohol syndrome right now.
You might be the most absurd forum poster on the internet. You have nothing to contribute to any conversation, so you fall back on name calling, and idiotic analogies. You are about as useful as genital warts.
No, it was painful. On the flip side, Tebow is going to be amazing at riding pine by the end of the year. First stringer.
