Definitely his best game this year. He came up huge on two consecutive 3rd and 1's and played a good game aside from not backing Cromartie on the first touchdown of the game. I do feel a little better if he can play the same kind of game next week.

Pool has become a very good player in the system. It took a while but he's shown what a good player he can be. I hope he's back next year.

Pool earned himself a roster spot next year.

I feel quite comfortable not drafting a safety next year. Pool and Smith both stepped up huge tonight, Lowery has made the biggest plays on defense, Leonhard coming back, makes me wonder if well still have room for ihedigbo though

Him and Leonhard with Smith backing up would be a formidable safety rotation. (Ihedigbo on certain blitz packages?)

I agree, Pool was GREAT in this game, had a lot of plays where they had him lined up deep and he flew up and made plays at or behind the line of scrimmage. Def earned himself a spot next year

He had a little dump pass to Addai on lockdown. That might have been a play late in the game I think.

Agreed, Pool and Smith were the keys to the D's success tonight IMO (other than Revis shutting down Wayne). Both really came up big.

Great game from Pool but we definitely need him to have another big game next week if we are gonna beat the pats. Hopefully him and smith can keep up the good work.

Pool and E. Smith, best games of the season by both, we need em again next week.. I was very surprised that Smith played that well, he was great.

Pool played well for sure. Made a bunch of great tackles. He was terrible on Garcon's TD, as was Cromartie. The secondary as a whole even Cromartie were very good tonight.

Yeah but your all forgetting the Garcon touchdown. Cro was expecting Pool helping over top but he took a horrible angle.

    otherwise great game.

Agreed, Pool was fantastic, especially at the beginning of the game and in the 4th qtr. But PLEASE, if Brady bombs us next week, don't come with "Pool and Smith suck!" threads. The board is schizofrenic enough to keep on handling that kind of shit.

I thought it was a straight bracket coverage with Cro over the top. Pool was supposed to help with the underneath throw. Cro took the wrong angle off the line that helped Garcon get free over the top.

Its a good question because I felt like Pool should have been there to back up Cro, but Rex was chewing on Cromartie on the sidelines. Maybe he did with Pool too but I got the impression that one was mostly on Cromartie. He did get burnt so theres reason to be mad regardless of what Pool did or didn't do, but Im curious to see where Pool was supposed to be.

By the way this title should be changed to Pool And Eric Smiths best game. Im used to Smith playing solid but this time his coverage was tight too, awesome.
