http://www.thejetsblog.com/2010/08/08/brodney-pool-changes-habits-to-better-his-health/ I hope everyone who hasn't read now knows his head isn't in trouble and he shouldn't be limited this year if he keeps this up. I still think he's going to make a very noticeable difference in this defense. He buys into it.
Brodney Pool could be the most productive player the Jets acquired this off season. I'm betting he will be an excellent addition to our defense. All the flashy names...LT, JT, & Holmes are getting all the pub...Pool is under the radar.
sleep, eating and not eating citrus? The problem isn't how much doctors know about the brain, but how little. Scientists know very little about how the brain operates. I'm still worried about Pool's head health and I hope a wrong hit doesn't kill him.
Good read, Its nice to know that it was just migraines and hopefully he can stay diligent with what he needs to do to keep them from happening. He really is flying under the radar im excited to see how he plays.
If he is to wear any special type of helmet this year, then I missed that news. If not, then maybe he should consider wearing a Mark Kelso style helmet.
If you remember Rex said the same thing in an interview he had with ESPN. They asked who's the most impact player they got and the lady in the interview named everyone but Pool and Rex answers with "Brodney Pool"
Hopefully he doesn't have problems this year with migraines. He should be a great rotational guy, along with Smith. And everybody in this thread has spelled his name right.
Just for his quality of life, I hope this makes a difference. Of course, we want the player to be healthy, but when dealing with head issues, the quality of life goes beyond the game. Blasphemy, I know...
If this guy can be a big hitter back there it's going to give opposing WR's hell. Imagine you've been working your dick off all day to get behind Revis or Cromartie, you FINALLY get a step on them only to get smashed by Pool at the moment the ball hits your hands. How long before you just plain give up?
depends on who you are, randy moss? 4 plays. a guy like steve smith probably never but with most normal WR's, it probably would be the ultimate deterence. All we need is Pool to lay out the first guy running over the middle in Baltimore to send a message, because then the league will know, you finally get a step on these two and our safeties will just have to take your head off as a punishment.
