Yeah, I lost a lot of respect for him as a player after the Dolphins game. He did quit on Bryce and it was painfully obvious. Hey, asshole stop worrying about Byron Maxwell and perform well against him and his team because that's 2 times this season he was invisible and sucked against Miami
Marshall should be benched for the rest of the season for his effort in the Miami game. Let Peake and Smith get more reps for next season.
I don't know what happened to Marshall. Yeah, we know he's a drama queen and bipolar, gets emotional when things don't work, etc etc, but I he's turned into a drop machine this year. I can't even count the amount of crucial easy drops that he's made this year. Big 3rd and 4th downs, every time the guy is targeted, it's a drop. It's aggravating.
Last year, I really respected Marshall and the impact he had on the team. This year, I am just sick of hearing him talk. Every article, earlier in the season you will find a quote on him, saying how the offense had a great practice, then we go out there and stink it up. Now he continues to drop passes, and does not shut up. Really hope the team gets rid of him and keeps Decker
The real reason in my mind to let Marshall go is if Petty is potentially the 2017 starter and Marshall is dogging it, he is wasting valuable time to get in synch and develop chemistry with the kid. And he is also the only offensive veteran other than Forte (Mangold, Fitz, Deck) that Petty is playing with. If Marshall cared about the Jets, he would be busting his ass to make plays and block downfield and create opportunities for the offense.
IMO the simplest move the jets should and likely will make is saying bye to marshall.......and how lucky they are to have enunwa to slip right into the waiting spot.
