http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...-carrying-sam-bradford-jerseys-170733818.html There are multiple sources out there confirming this. This adds fuel to the Bradford getting dealt in the coming weeks theory to possibly move up for Mariota. Their other FA acquisitions have jerseys in the store but Bradford is absent.
I would say this is pretty significant. Chip was saying he was offered a first rounder for Bradford. Maybe a 3 team deal. If so we will probably have to select at 6 and looks like a D player.
What about Bradford to Cleveland. The Eagles get one of their first round picks. And package them to Tennessee for the overall #2 and Chip gets his Mariota.
They already made the offer to both the Rams and the Eagles. It will come down to Titans and Browns. Titans want Rivers if they can get him first though.
Do you really think somebody else is going to take on his 13M salary this year? The Eagles are stuck with him or they will be paying the salary of two QBs this year.
I don't think the Titans would trade their overall 2 for Rivers straight up. I'd assume they would exchange 1st round picks and then maybe the Chargers would kick in another pick like around a 3rd rounder.
Yeah, I'm sure Chip Kelly sent an internal memo to the team merchandise division of the Eagles to inform them of his entire offseason strategy so they won't waste money on unsold jerseys.
Man. Three years ago I thought Chip Kelly could turn lead into gold. Now I am beginning to be glad the Ducks have Mark Helfrich. I think Chip is going to start with lead and end up with zinc!
Coaching the team and being in charge of the groceries is a lot of work. It's really two jobs. The Eagles owner caved into Chip's demands to basically run football operations. If things don't work out after all of the changes: it's back to square one for the Eagles and sayonara to Chip.
Yeah. You can underline the second part. While Chip is a coaching genius, I would never deny that, Ducks fans will be the first to admit that he was not a great recruiter. Mark Helfrich discovered Mariota and is better at finding talent. And he's from Coos Bay! So he won't leave!
Do you think that Chip really notified the Eagles marketing department not to manufacture any Bradford jerseys. After trading for the guy! And you know those starting Qb jerseys usually fly right off the shelves unless you're talking about Geno Smith.
No it doesn't. It means there's enuf uncertainty by the retail merchandizing team not to stock the shelves yet. Its not an indication of the teams roster intent.
