bonds was the giants offense today, but it wasn't enough. nothing new there. their lineup when bonds is out is the worst in baseball.

Not sure what you mean by looking suspicious. I will be very surprised if he gets a single at bat on this road trip. There is no one on the planet who wants him to break this record anywhere but in San Francisco. Who is going to complain if he doesn't play?
because the commissioner can intervene if they do this. it happened when aaron was chasing ruth. the giants could invent an injury, but it has to be plausible. they can't just sit their best player for a week.
