According to his Twitter. Well-deserved. I really hope he sticks around for the foreseeable future.

Congrats! Hope he comes back even stronger (physically) and improves even more on his game! Great role player.

Congratz Maybin....im surprised theyre wasnt a more deserving candidate than a "situational" pass rusher.

Hopefully he will continue to improve...or the jets will put a high draft tender on him so if anyone decides to offer him a contract we cant match we can snag a couple decent draft picks.

This is total nonsense because to comeback means you were once good, then went bad, then came back to being good. He was total garbage his whole career before coming here. What did he comeback to?

Man some people just aren't happy unless they have something to complain about.

That will definitely help him land a contract somewhere else.

I get what your saying but being such a highly touted draft pick and than completely shitting the bed, is different than being an UDFA and coming out of no where to be a beast. If Gholston was able to get his shit together with the bears he would have won the same award.

**but as per my comment, i think theyre has to be someone else who deserved the award more than our situational pass rusher. I guess having pennington out of the league during an odd year really threw off the voting

Maybin is an offseason in the weight room away from being a real force. Congratulations to him, well deserved.

Maybin is too thin framed to ever put on 20-30 pounds of muscle to become an every down LB.

I'd love for rex to try him at Safety. Hell, he's fast, tanacious, a great tackler, and we KNOW he can kill a QB on a blitz. Plus if it works he'd be on the field for all 3 down. Only question is how good are his ball skills, if any?

He's white so I don't know what Rex is waiting for.

He didnt really do much for the last 3 games of the year but congrats none the less. Hopefully a full offseason with the team will help his game a lot.

I get that...maybe the problem is the NFL needs a Most Improved Player award and then I can definitely see him getting that..the award Comeback Player of the Year is just a misnomer.

Since when were college defensive ends known for ball skills?
