    Damn. Respect. Never saw a playoff game. smh.

    “I just always chose to come back to New York because I always wanted to see the (Super Bowl) trophy come back here again,” Powell said. “It was a thing for me, deep down, when I signed my name on that contract to become a New York Jet, that I wanted to stay a New York Jet, and that was for me personally. I always wanted to see the trophy come back, not only for myself, but for the Jets fan base.

    “I knew if we could just get that thing back, that atmosphere in that stadium, the culture in that stadium, is insane. I just always wanted to see that trophy back here.”

    Powell was a much better player than we realized at the time. Did everything well.

    Very underused for large spells as a Jet, could never understand why.

    Then the ridiculousness of not using him as a pass-catching back when he was very good at that, was that Gase?

    It wouldn't shock me in the slightest tbh.

    A top guy and a Jet for life.

    Effective, hard runner, gave his all every carry.
    Wished we utilized him more.
    High character, easy to like to guy also.
    Glad he retired a Jet, I’ll always be a Bilal fan.

    And let’s not forgot, one of the best names to say in Jet history.(cue Ray Lucas) “ Billalllll Powelllllllllll”
