Tannenbaum's pickups (drafts and free agents) that played well this week:
Feel free to add the ones I missed.

    Hill(s)
    Ducasse
    Greene
    Landry
    Cromartie
    Coples
    Wilkerson
    Ellis
    Landry
    Tebow
Hunter's replacement (can't remember his name)
    McNight
    Schillens

Also, Kerley has been playing well.

All those busts are playing well.

Yeah, we've found the environment in which Tannenbaum and Bradway's talent flourishes: against weak teams.

Fixed for ya. But yea, make it happen against a good team first. I am excited about Hill, Coples, Wilkerson and Ellis. Kerley is already a very good player as well.

A lot of these guys are improving and have a lot of potential, so prospects are good for the team getting better and having a chance to beat better teams. This was their best game of the season so far. The D and running game had their 1st solid games even though it was against a "weak" team, although there really aren't any weak teams in the NFL.

Austin Howard has been playing like a stud,Sanchez gets a little credit from me but not alot, he didn't turn the ball over and made a few plays in the redzone, David Harris has 49 tackles this season so he is gonna get credit from me as well

At the end of the day we have to beat the bad teams. There's no shame in it.

The shame is in not being able to compete against the good teams because the talent on the roster is not good enough to do that.

They played a very competitive game against the Texans and should have won. The Jets were a couple of incompletions away from winning.

They played a competitive game against a team that had two jinxes going against it (never beat the Jets, never won on MNF) and they got within a couple of incompletions of winning because they ran back a kick for 7.

Sorry, that game was a total outlier. If the Jets were really able to compete against elite teams right now they win that game, keeping both jinxes alive and taking full advantage of the KR.

They're not capable of competing at that level and so it looked closer than it actually was. The Texans out-gained the Jets by 80+ yards and held the ball for 10+ minutes longer. That's what that game was.

Thats how you start your argument. Jinxes. Come on you're better than that nonsense.

Jinxes? Give me a fucking break.

Last I checked special teams were part of the game of football too.

You claimed the Jets aren't capable of being competitive against good teams. I point out they were a couple of incompletions away from winning against the Texans, and you respond with jinxes? Come on. I am by no means a sunshiner, but being a darksider shouldn't mean abandoning logic.

it's amazing to me how ppl go from hating Tanny and the majority of this team to being willing to brush it all under the rug like nothing happened after 1 win against the inferior Colts...It's truly mind boggling to me.

I for one and more than happy w/ any win and of course will smile with it, but at the end of the day the Jets have no proven anything has changed yet.

    Hope they do.

    Let the bi-polar disorder continue.

Ok, to explain it a little bit better: the Jets were down 20-7 in the 3rd quarter. That was an accurate reflection of the game state given the two team's performances and talent level.

Then they got a KR TD to make it actually a game again. At which point they lost because it did not matter if you can make a game of it if you don't have enough talent to finish the job.

The Jets were down and out in that game and they got a once a season lightning bolt to pick them back up again at which point they lost anyway.

That's the difference between being a good team competing hard against another good team and being a mediocre team trying to keep up with a good team.

Whether you think the loss was on Sanchez or the Texan's win was on Watt the facts are that the Texans have much better players than the Jets right now. And none of you yahoos talking about the game being "competitive" are going to say otherwise at the risk of revealing yourself as a fool.

    That's just what it is.

No those people are just posting after a win.

You say inferior colts yet most "experts" were picking the Colts. The Colts beat the Vikings who beat the 49ers and the Packers yet they are inferior?

The colts are a good team that are just a year removed from making the playoffs. Ryan is good at making rookie Qbs struggle and he did.

Most naysayers on this board where predicting the Jets will not win another game. The Jets have holes but the Jets will compete for a playoff spot this year and with a little luck and the team gelling maybe further.

The was a big win that puts the Jets in a very good position in the AFC East. The Jets have a very good chance this weekend against the Pats also if they win it they are in first all by themselves.

Texans have one less talented player thanks to Slausen. If Someone had take JJ Watt's knee out too, we'd have been even up, both teams down 2 key starters. If that had happened, we win the game, even with a starting wide out that joined the team 2 days before the game.

This has got to be the most asinine argument I have ever heard. The Texans struggled and looked bad against the Packers does that mean they cant compete or are less talented than the packers who just lost to the colts the weak before?

This is the NFL the Jets lost because they did not make a play when they had the opportunity.

You have got be kidding me people can find the negative i anything. If you really want to continue the Jets where missing their three biggest weapons on offense yet still almost won.

This actually bodes well for the Jets as the young receivers Gel and get more confidence the Jets will be even better.
