    Who are we rooting for?

I'm guessing the Bengals just b/c they have a tougher last game (vs Steelers) than do the Broncos (vs 49ers).

    Tough call though.

As long as NE can beat JAX and we win our last 2 it doesn't matter (or at least I think thats how it is.) Personally Id much rather see the Bengals go than the Broncos. Shanahans dentures scare me.

    BENGALS

Tie is actually best, but lets look at reality.

Root for the Bengals. Why? Because JUST INCASE the jets blow one of these last 2 games, they can still have an outside shot at getting in at 9-7 if jax loses out (which can happen) and KC wins out to get to 9-7. That would be a three way tie at 9-7, chiefs eliminate Broncos due to divisional tiebreaker, jets better AFC record over chiefs, gets them in at 9-7. This is also assuming none of the 7-7 teams can win out.

Now I'm not saying that it's going to come to this, if the jets lose on monday, odds are they are out. But just incase, root for Cincinatti and NE on Sunday, and root for KC on Saturday. And root against all 7-7 teams.

You root for a tie.. no questions asked.

TIE, and the NE/JAX outcome is meaningless, we win out we're in. However, if I must pick, I pick the Bengals for the reasons mentioned.

Bengals, because the Broncos are not losing at home to SF next week, but the Steelers are playing well and you would have to think that they would love to play spoilers and knock their new rivals out of the playoffs!!

if the jets finsih at 10-6 and so do the Jags is there any other team finishing at 10-6 that would knock the Jags out before our head to head kicks in?

Both Denver and Cincinnati could, based on conference record, but their conference records are also better than ours. That would leave us with Jacksonville for the six spot, and we all know what happens there.

Root for Cincy. By the time the NE/Jax game is over, we'll know if we control our own destiny or not. If RobA is right (big if, but I'm pretty sure he is), then definitely Cincy is the pick.

Chances are, this won't make a difference. Either we win out and Jax loses a game, and we're in, or we lose a game and we're out. I doubt that Jax goes 2-0, NE goes 1-1, and the winner of the CIN/DEN game goes 2-0. One of those teams is bound to lose once, so I would think we'd control our own destiny.

I might just sleep through the NE game because I really don't want to root for one of them, but I know NE is the team we should want to win...

Cincy does have the best team and the a better chance on winning the last two more than Denver. Those Broncos really crapped out. I hate Week 16. Pain in the ass....

Cincy has the :steelers: the last week.

When we win out last two, and :steelers: beat Cincy, that should give us the nod right?
