Believe it or not, I read this on a Giants board. Can anyone confirm if it is true...? Apparently the Jets announced BB as the head coach even though he told them he didn't want it. This made BB have to twist in the wind and call that awkward HC of the NYJ press conference. Apparently BB blames the Jets for 'railroading' him into a job he never wanted?

Wow, I've never heard that. At least it would give some sort of reason for his behavior. I'm suprised that hasn't come out before this and from the Jets beat writers.
Who wrote this? It had to be Ron Borges who has a personal vendetta against Belichick. What a moron. BB doesn't hate BP anymore. They talked on the phone frequently about football over the summer last year. Parcells was talking about him in one of his Dallas press conferences about how he was picking his brain over the summer. Belichick hated Gutman and BP back in that day because they were using him as a pawn in the war between Kraft and Parcells. It's no secret. Whatever hate he has now is simply rivalry, helped out by the Mangini hiring and Branch situation.
Its a win-win, should he strike us down know, we shall become more powerful than he could possibly imagine.:up: I'd rather us get the W though. :jets:

The problem was, BB was not HC yet while wanting to talk to NE. He should have been free to talk to other teams since HC was a job upgrade over his Jets job. So Parcells fucked him to get revenge on Kraft. I'd be pissed too.
This really has become a great rivalry! Almost as good as Jets/Dolphins! There's no rivalry with Buffalo because a hammer does not consider a nail its rival, as the old saying goes.
That's because you are a Jets fan. How would you feel if your current employer prevented you from a big promotion and payday at your company's rival? Yeah, you can't blame them for trying to keep you even against your will. For non-compete reasons, but you'd still be pissed. No?
