This guy is a baby. C'mon now. You're the mentor of a guy; he looks up to you and he has an oppurtunity to go and be successful and you disapprove? I know he goes to the one team you hate, but A) Get over it, and B) Why do you hate the Jets in the first place? They wanted you as a coach didn't they? They respect you. Have some class. And all this BS about tampering? You know who's behind it? Belichick, no doubt. This guy will do anything to get at the Jets. I mean I know there are rivalries and all, but yeesh, have some class buddy. You're an NFL coach.

I wonder if Belichick tried to talk Mangini out of the Jets job due to concern over Mangini taking an awful 1st coaching job that was certain to end badly - or - if Belichick knew Mangini was the man to take the Jets from a laughing stock to a huge thorne in NE's side. Instead of being "concerned for Mangini", perhaps Belichick was being "very selfish".
