Go ahead and laugh, we are gonna win 3 in a row to get to 7-6 and have a big home game. We will beat the Panthers, Bills and Bucs. Last week was the low point of the season. I am not saying we are gonna go 10-6 or anything, just give us one more important home game. This team is not gonna fold, no way, the Boys will rally and show some heart.
I hope you're right, but I've given up looking ahead by even a quarter, let alone three games. It's possible the Jets could win three in a row and make themselves relevant again, but I'm just looking forward to the Carolina game for now.
Too painful to predict anything at this point, I'm afraid. I feel like I don't even know this team anymore. 8-3 last year and we collapse. This year it's 3-0 and then the same, only sooner. Greenie said it best this morning... "I've never rooted for a Jets team that talked so much and played so little."
More likely is we win the next 3 we all get are hopes up and then loose the last 3 games of the season. Its the jets way
We've got to win this home game! period! Play like you want to win! Burn your bridges or what ever! JETS = Just Eat Them son!
Yeah, but then we have the fun of talking playoffs again. Maybe Bart Scott can back into trash-talking some more and Kerry Rhodes can go over to the visitor's bench and get into more shoving matches. Then Ryan can tell everyone how we're going to kick more ass now becasue this team is really, really good this time and we can get all pumped. Then, after we're 7-6, we can finish up good and strong at 7-9. SOJ.
Hey, that way we get to send in more money for two home playoff games which will never happen, which gets more of next year's tickets out of the way. Think of it as financial planning.
Well, hopefully Ryan announcing that he will be more involved with the offense and stand there on the field next to Schotty and Sanchez as the play is being called on gameday will change the way we're playing overall. We should...SHOULD...see some change this weekend, hopefully with some of the play-calling on O and the Sanchez TO's.
Sanchez needs to be accountable for the ball, bottom line. Neither Shotty nor Rex can go on the field and do it for him. If they have to pull his ass from a game to send him that message then do it. He's still the guy long term, but he can't have a blank check out there. Hopefully that's the direction this is headed.
Totally agree. Problem with Sanchez is, he's trying to do too much, even tho he's being told not to. It's his competitive spirit. I hate the picks he throws, he pisses me off whenever I see him do that on the field, but when I re-watch the game, he's always trying to make something happen. To be honest, I'm actually liking the idea of Ryan being right there when and if Schotty tries to run another Seminole formation on 3rd and 2 with Brad Smith. "Get the fuck outta here with that shit, and just pound the rock, you idiot.", is what I'd like Rex Ryan's lips to read when re-watching it on tv.
To a point..But as I started looking at the tape last night, It's not all Sanchez. On two separate occasions (the same play incidentally run from opposite sides of the field) it looks like the receiver makes the wrong break exposing the pass. the first time Sanchez sees the opening and delivers the ball right at the Marker, JC breaks inside and the ball goes inc. The second time from the left side Clowney breaks a 2 yard out dragging the underneath guy withhim. JC has Bodden draped on his inside shoulder . Sanchez delivers the ball right towards the marker. IF 83 breaks outside he catches it and sprints down the sideline in a footrace. Instead he fights to the inside (Putting himself in triple coverage no less) and leaves Bodden staring at the incoming football. Now, it's not possible to know EXACTLY what the call is, but reviewing that play in slo-mo one frame at a time, it's clear Sanchez is putting the ball on an open Man that chose to break into triple coverage.
I'm talking about the INT where he should've thrown away. That was Sanchez trying to make something happen and forcing the ball. All the others were mostly play/route flaws or just in-accuracy.
