Yeah Yeah Yeah, we've heard this all before , but it could happen, couldn't it?

I'd still be happy with Cro coming back

    In other news:

Demarcus Ware a remote possibility to join Jets. Also Peyton Manning and Adam Vinatieri.

its just not worth tying up that much money at one position especially since we need pass rushers and could still improve on backside coverage

not like this will happen but thats my .02

Until I hear otherwise from the horse's mouth (Asomugha), I'm going to keep thinking this is an imposssibility.

    1. Tim Graham, like most ESPN analysts, is a tard.
    2. I don't put anything past Tanny.
    3. Favre to the Jets was "remote" too.
    4. Sign the fucking CBA already!

Well not really, it's very probable Aso doesn't want to stay in Oakland... he could sign with us for one year if there is no cap.

As Coach K said, do we want to pour that much money into one position? Not wise. If I had to choose between Aso or Cro, B Smith, Holmes, et al., I'll take the latter.

Either way, there is nothing of substance in this article.

For the money it would cost to get Aso, it would mean losing either Edwards or Holmes. I'd much rather see the money go to surrounding Sanchez with talent than having the best CB tandem in the league.

I'd be pissed off if the Jets chose to let either Edwards or Holmes sign somewhere else in order to get Asomugha. Now, if the Jets get outbid for one of the WRs and Asomugha is still available, then I'd be all for it.

I strongly doubt when Rex envisions Aso and Revis in his secondary, the thought of Cro being there crosses his mind.

I honestly don't think this is as good as it sounds. We need some more coverage ability in our safties and linebackers more than we need another cornerback. We all saw it last year, while Revis and Cromart were locking down the outside, teams were beating us too easily with slot recievers and tight ends.

Aso is a hell of a player, but the money could be used elsewhere. This is, assuming we retain Cromartie, though. My feelings might change if he does end up walking.

"The chances of Asomugha joining the Jets are "remote," an NFL source close to the situation informs me."

...That's what they said about Favre too.......

    ....just sayin'......

Ashomugha is not very young. I'd prefer we stick with Cromartie. Corners go all at once. I really value continuity and youth, and I'd prefer not to get locked in on a guy who's 30.

Much, Much, Much different scenario now.

Since we're in limbo right now we do have some room, but only to sign our existing FA's and some filler players.

When we signed Favre we cut Chad who had about $7 million in cap value and we were under the cap by around that same number.

Unless Aso gives us an insanely good deal Jet fans need to get this idea out of their heads.

Asomugha is 30. He'll be on the wane and we'll be on the hook. No thanks.
