This has been a rumor brewing for a few days and we all have our opinions on Kyle Wilson. Some of us, including quotes I have seen from anonymous coaches, have him jotted down as a hard working corner well capable of doing his job in nickel and dime packages. Others, also including quotes from anonymous coaches around the league .. have him as a semi bust first rounder who does not make any impact plays.

On that note, if we did put him on the block could we expect any real value in return? He is in a contract year and the JETS brass will be making that decision soon regardless. I actually agree with both points of view above, though leaning towards the bust opinion, but only on the first rounder angle of it. I am curious to see your points of view not only as him as a player but also including if we should/could get more value for him before, during or after the draft or extending/resigning him.

wilson is not getting traded, he may be re-signed after the year is over and end up manning the nickle spot for 10 years for the jets. considering our draft history, k.w. is pretty far from a bust, he was the 29th pick and although he never became a pro bowler he has been dependable and contributes to the team. we would do well to have that kind of "bust" more often

I think we have enough questions at the CB position, without loosing KW. He's not great, but he fills a need.
I guess there could be a couple of CB in the draft they like, but I don't see us starting 2-1/2 rookies.

Who would trade for Kyle Wilson and what would they give? I don't see this happening at all.

I fail to see why any team would be interested in Wilson, he's barely a starter. Id rather have a 6th round pick lol.

He doesn't have much value at all and there's no reason to trade him in the first place. He's a decent corner and it's not like we have tons of great CBs on our team.

I think that's right. He's worth more to us than anyone would ever offer in a trade.

He's pretty much a league average CB. But Jets fans are spoiled by Revis and to a lesser extent Cromartie.
