He's been such a huge part of the run game but im just not sure if he comes back this season especially turning 40. Conner is going to be great but he still needs time too develop. Anyone think hes going to retire or take one last shot?
Connor has learned from the best and he had a year to develop. He's a fullback and not a QB. I think he will be good next year, of course we will at times miss one of the best FBs of the modern era.
He'll retire, but I'm not nervous about it. Time again for a single fullback and three tailbacks on the active roster.
If T-Rich doesn't retire - he won't be playing on this team next year. It's simply a matter of money, age, and the fact that the Jets are confident John Conner can do the job. If he does retire - would love to have him on our staff in some capacity as a coach/mentor.
agreed. Trich was not consistently good this year. He's lost it finally. Connor needs to step in and take over. This team needs a shot of youth and passion- FB, LB, DE and RB are great places to start since we've got the ability to make the change with 2 of the 4 without any real moves and the other through the draft.
