Believe me, there's no one on this planet who is happier about the Jets win yesterday than I am. I am still so elated from this victory that I could kiss a cloud. I gotta say though, I feel kinda bad for Ochocinco. He showed a tremendous amount of class after the 37-0 game last weekend, when he posted on his Twitter something to the effect of "congratulations to the Jets and their fans." This is a reference to the same fans who chanted O-CHO-SUCKS throughout the first half. I really like Chad, he's very entertaining, he performs when he's not stuck on Revis Island, and I feel like he's good for the league, regardless of how many fines he accumulates. He runs his mouth much more than necessary, but he is accountable and owns up to his word, i.e. offering Fireman Ed the VIP Package, and giving Revis credit where credit is due. One of the very few things I didn't like about yesterday's game was seeing Chad cry on the sidelines in the 4th quarter. It proved to me that he really does care about winning, and the game of football in general. Seeing emotion like that from players is very rare in this era of apathy and greed. I can't help it, I felt kinda sorry for the guy. Having said that, I sure as hell hope to see many Chargers bawl their eyes out on Sunday evening. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS
Ocho needs to learn when to talk trash...and when not to. Revis Christ lowered the boom as expected...Ocho should've known better.
no i dont feel bad at all for that jackass. he made a bet that he didnt follow up on and couldnt back his smack talk up in 2 consecutive games. kiss da baby.
I still love Ocho, and he showed a ton of class after the 37-0 beatdown, until he started to claim they treated it like a scrimmage.
I have to admit, after the whole exchange with Revis I actually got a pretty good impression of the guy - seems like a decent dude - and when they showed him on the sideline I did have a moment there where I sort of felt sorry for him - but we just won a freakin playoff game so I didn't think about it for long. :jets:
Feel sorry for him?? meh. I guess I feel sorry for any competitor who gives it his/her all and comes up short. But my issue with focusing on him is, the only reason we are even talking about him is because of his mouth/antics. I prefer guys who just let their play do the talking. I never saw a player greater than Barry Sanders . . . and the guy never said a word . . . and the guy played his entire career with the fucking Lions for fuck's sake . . . I will always feel infinitely more sorry for a guy like him as compared to an attention whore like Chad Johnson (I refuse to call him Ocho Cinco). So, no, I guess I don't feel all that bad for Chad.
It's all fun , I like him but no Pity from me.... Just like Ray Lewis, Love the guy as a player but no sympathy when they lose.
It also could just have been all of the emotions from the season hitting him all at once. From what I've seen and heard, he's been pretty emotional in all of the games after Chris Henry died.
I'd only feel bad if Ochocinco really did change his name back to Chad Johnson lol, the Ochocinco thing was cute but I guess he has to now cause Revis punk'd him. Unless he goes back on his word, in which case he'd go down in my estimation.
I certainly don't feel more sorry for him because he said things that ended up making him look stupid.
when he talks so much crap and fails miserably it only makes him look bad. He's doing things with a joke mentality but he thinks opponents arent paying attention to his nonsense.
The only time I feel bad for any NFL player, is when they get injured because it is their livelihood. However when they lose to my team I don't feel a bit of sadness.
