You do realize that nearly half of Detroit has been burnt to the ground and abandoned by the city, right? The train station- looks as though it's a relic from some nuclear war. The mayor himself is asking that the entire city be rezoned so as to take out the areas left behind where folks simply aren't living anymore.
Detroit is pretty bad and defiantly worse then the Bronx but that wouldn't stop me from going to a Jets Lions game. I mean we only live once. Plus you probably will be staying in a Hotel near the stadium and not in the slums. You should be good to go, enjoy the game man! I am still planning my Jets/away game trips. Might do the Bill, Pats and the Steelers, those should be fun games to go to dressed in all Jets gear!

I know it's really not that bad overall, I was joking around. Everyone loves taking shots at Detroit. But, if you drive out to some bad parts in Detroit, the possibility of you getting into some serious shit skyrocket. I've heard stories of cops pulling people over that were lost/venturing through bad parts and telling them to get the fuck out and not stop at stop signs for the sake of their own lives.
Pack some heat yo. I work in and around Detroit on occasion and like Rock said, the bad areas there are REALLY BAD.

I'm going, flying out Friday night and flying back to NY Sunday night after the game. Staying with some family who have Lions season tix (dedication I know).
I'll be there with a bunch of people. I have relatives in Detroit. Leaving Friday night and coming back Monday morning. You're not going by yourself, are you? If so, I don't want to hang out with you.
