We don't have 10 cents of cap room right now, let alone what it would cost for a guy like Boldin.

No cap room and we're still deep at WR. Plus, who do we send over there? No deal.

Wont happen but that would be a sick pickup right before the start of the season. Just another weapon for Favre. Couldnt hurt but we couldnt afford it... Or Could We ?

The kaser sums it up, no cap room, plus the jets would have to trade valuable players to get a guy like boldin so its not going to happen

It's worth discussing for a moment because he's a good player, but I can't possibly see us affording him or bringing him in. I changed the thread title at least.

barrett agreed to a big pay cut in anticipation of the jets landing john lynch. that didn't happen so we DO have 'some' cap room.

We actually have nearly 3 million in cap room. We could do it with some creative structuring. (Isn't that suppose to be Tannenbaum's specialty?). Of course AZ will never trade him so it's really a moot point. Besides they would want a first and our first is gone if we make the SB this year. With Boldin we just might.

WR are the most over paid position in the NFL
    We have good WR's
    We have no $
Who would he replace. Coles, why because he does not talk to the press

Maybe because he is one concussion away from retirement.

Favre has a history of making fantastic WRs out of nothing. *Javon Walker, anyone?* Meaning, yeah, if the Jets could land Boldin, it would be awesome - but is it really going to be necessary? I don't think so.

And what if the Jets do make it to the playoffs? Do they split their 2nd round pick to AZ and GB? Dumb, if you ask me.

"Available" tends to mean that a player is a free agent.

Anquan Boldin is just as available as every other player in the NFL right now.

Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he becomes a Cowboy.

    Where do I sign?

Look, Boldin is great, but there's no way we get him. NO WAY. So just stop speculating.

Boldin wants alot of money, cap room we don't have, and we have plenty of receivers. We have other needs that should be addressed first. More line depth, CB, ect.
