For Clemens survival & chances for success (we don't want Clemens to be hurt in his 1st game) this season.....Jets' must replace the RT Anthony Clements. He has regressed this season & has become a turnstile & I'm tired of seeing the Jets' QB running for his life & the pressure is usually coming from his man & his side. Hopefully there is somebody on the current that can replace him. My greatest fear is that Clemens goes down for season in his time to shine. Clements has been given a free ride by the media (WE are all part of the madia)....I see this guy every week on the highlights getting pushed back or being blown by....by the defense. He has been the weakest link on the OL this season. I want this guy benched right now. RT, IMO...is the #1 priority {911} on the offense right now.
Haha, shows what you know. Clement(no s) is the right tackle. The problem is hardly him, its the LEFT GUARD. Clarke, who is by far the worst starter on offense. He gets beat on the same exact stunt by the d-linemen every week, it's sickening.
Just a heads up, Clement is our RT Brandon Moore is our RG and our LG who IMO is our worst lineman, is Adrien Clarke. Clarke is the guy I am always seeing getting beat. I dunno if he's who you meant, but if so the whole position name and side of the line is way off...
Run and Gun is notorious for starting threads like this. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=17378
Yeah it's the left side that has caused the majority of the problems this year for the Jets. Moore and Clements on the right are below average but Clarke is a turnstile and D'Brickashaw really can't drive block at all yet. Thomas Jones has a bunch of years in the league and he's pretty savvy. Whereever his run starts off intended to go it winds up back on the right eventually. Leon Washington is a second year player who runs what the coaches ask him to run and he's getting killed when he goes left.
I see the most pressure coming from the left side & I think Clarke has done a good job. I see Moore & Clements as the weak side of line. They probally run block better than the right side of line, but Brick & Clarke pass block better...& the QB gets blasted on passes ...not on hand-offs.
Thank you for bumping my thread...It does appear to be on point & accurate as usual... Again TY...
Agreed....Thats why it's unbelieveable to think that everybody was asleep at the controls & didn't notice that ther OL sucked. What might happen with the coaching staff is thery get tunnelled by watching there own team so much in practice & on film, that they can't stay up with there competition. OL probally looks good in practice, cause the DL sucks so bad & can't generate a pass rush against them & they think that there OL is good. lol, because everyone that posts in forums was aware that Jets' OL needed help... Jets' practice squad is even very weak. Only quality players on it I see are maybe RB Danny Ware & maybe OL Will Montgomery & he plays guard. They have no Tackles on practice squad. Jets' have alot of replenishing to do this off-season.
I think we have the two worst starting Guards in the NFL. Clement's apparent regression is largely due to the fact Moore is total garbage.
I thought he was coming on from games 2-4..but lately he has been painfully lackluster. It's almost sad to watch him be driven back in pass protection and to see Brick try to help him w/ no success b/c Clarke cant even demonstrate proper hand placement to slow the rusher down for a double team. I thought early the "Brick has to compenstate for Clarke" stuff was over played(Though I defended Brick's play and still believe he's been one of our top performers). But lately..it is completely true.
Another Necessary (MANDATORY) Change..... PART 2, Run and Gun 10 stops pointing out he obvious and over reacting, as well as replying to his own post to pat himself on the back. Step 2, all of TGG rejoices!
He was activated for the first time this past game. In today's press conference, EM said that he had been working at RT and LG. Sounds like a good possibility he will see some playing time.
Brick even with compensating for the gaping hole next to him has been the best O-lineman this year. IMO it is not even close. I do think that a lot of the pressure coming from the middle is not on Mangold as he is over-compensating for the same gaping hole. If they had a real LG the left side of this line from Mangold to Brick would be something special. It will happen, sadly, just not this year. Edit, there are 3 positions up for grab on this line next season. I highly doubt Clark and Clement are back. Moore will be here next year most likely as a starter. However if he is the backup that would mean the FO heavily invested in the line be it the draft or FA..................... dare to dream.
