Erik Ainge has taken his game to an entirely new level. He has thoroughly outplayed Kellen Clemens and if it were up to me, Ainge would be the 2 Qb. He has played well against 2's and 3's and WITH 2's and 3's. It would be verry interesting to see what he could do with the 1's.

Honestly, Ainge put the Jets in position to win all 4 preseason games. Even handicapped by playing with 2's and 3's, he's moved the team effectively. I'm giving big props to the man. Last year, Ainge wasn't worth a damn. This isn't the same Erik Ainge we saw.

Woodhead has made this team tonight. No way in hell he should be anyplace else except the Jet sideline.

Ainge is playing like a very mature QB. He definitely deserves # 2. Clemens is gone after this year...... people that say QB depth??? fuck off.

ratliff never played with the twos.

Ainge has taken the next step, so he may be a year away from being the #2.

I think at bare minimum he shows more command than KC and I think he has a better arm.

Ainge really needs to work on his footwork. He's throwing too much off his back foot.

Funny how a couple months ago everyone thought Pizzoti was going to cause Ainge to get cut. He's had a great preseason.

Previous to us drafting Sanchez I said he would give Clemens a run for his money this year. I think he has the tools to be a servicable starter, and with some work on footwork, he could lead this team if Sanchez goes down.

I think in time he could be our #2, but as of right now Clemens is the better choice. Ainge is a year of experience away.

Well Ainge is killing the backups. Its kinda fun to see the jets put up points on the board through the air then the usual pounding the ball in. He is right now the number 2 QB on this team

The weird thing with Clemens... a lot of the time the things that happen aren't necessarily his fault... like the interception today... but these things ONLY happen when Clemens is in at QB.

Clemens simply is horrible luck. His baby may be blessed by God but he's got none of it clearly.

I agree with Ainge being the #2... or at least being happy with Ainge as the #2 if the Jets somehow found a way to include Clemens in a trade.

agreed...he looked real good when he steps up. He got bailed out a few times by great catches/shitty defending when he threw off his back foot. What's worse was that he's doing it for no reason. A lot of times there was little to no pressure and he still pulled an Eli Manning. Hopefully he can fix this and become a legit #2.

Aigne is the #2 QB and Rex shouldn't be afraid to state so.

No one would trade for Clemens but if Woodhead gets cut he will be picked up by another team quick.

We never got to see it, but he can also KR/PR.

I didn't watch today's game but I totally agree on that. Seems like his passes are always getting dropped or tipped.. or the center is stepping on his feet. I bet his rookie year Clemens was thinking "I just finished a great college career and now I'm in a perfect position to take over this promising young team with this promising young HC, just as soon Chad hurts himself again.. life couldn't be better". And God has shit on him ever since.
