Makes me feel dirty to give Leberfailed's site any hits, but I loved Aaron Glenn and it's the only place it's being reported: Glenn wants to retire a Jet By Hoss Aultman Posted Aug 28, 2009 In the latest issue of monthly Jets Confidential newspaper (totally different content from the website), former Jet CB Aaron Glenn told JC he would like to retire a Jet. After leaving the Jets in 2001, he had stops in Houston, Jacksonville, New Orleans and Dallas, but still considers himself a Jet at heart. He looks forward to seeing his former team on opening day in his hometown.
He was an awesome playmaker with excellent cover skills. Aaron Glenn is the best CB we ever had. Darrelle Revis may push him for that honor down the road though.
Glenn is one of my favorite Jets of all time. Fuckin great player for us who we should have never let go. Absolutely he should retire a Jet. Can you believe we cut him and replaced him with Aaron fucking Beasley?!
I agree at this point the only thing holding Revis back is longevity. Revis is a more complete CB no questions asked. I think Revis can go down as one of the all time greats if he can keep improving.
Agreed...him and Mo Lewis were my two favorite Jets growing up. I was heartbroken when we gave him up to the Texans. Would love to see him retire a Jet.
He was one of the first Jets that I watched from being drafted through his career. Sorry he had to go. Happy he's coming back. Welcome home Aaron!
Aaron Glenn was an excellent player for the Jets, he deserves the chance to retire as one. Hope Woody does the right thing.
That's awesome. Aaron Glenn is the only former Jet player that I got another team's jersey for (I had his Houston jersey), one of my all time favorites!
Aaron Glenn is an all time Jet great and nobody could convince me otherwise. he shouldve spent his whole career in green and white. but shit happens. at least he feels the same way.
Aaron Glenn was a unique talent. He got a huge contract out of Parcells and then got traded in the cap heavy years because no CB was worth that kind of money. His game against the Steelers for the Texans in their inaugural season was one of the greatest all-time performances by a cornerback, as he returned 2 interceptions for TD's and the Texans beat the Steelers on the road largely on the strength of those 2 plays.
Aaron Glenn is an all time great New York Jet and he has had an excellent career. He was a great draft pick by the Dick Steinberg (RIP). It would superb if Aaron retired as a Jet.
Love Aaron Glenn. Two plays stand out for me. The 90 something yard INT return against the Dolphins and most of.... The missed FG 100 something yard return against the Colts. He was the 1st one to do that. Not Devin Hester. Not Cromartie. Aaron Glenn. I remember that return he was so deliberate and patient, knowing the guys trying to tackle him were all fat O-linemen. Parcells is/was a genius.
i remember we also had a lot of hope for him as a punt returner, but he muffed his first few catches in preseason...got better though. who was that other db we traded to the texans along with glenn? i remember him catching a hail mary at the end of the half against buffalo
