I have read on many boards alot of chatter about Mike Francesa and how he is a Jets hater, so I finally watched a clip of one of his Jets rants on Youtube. Since I now live in NC and don't listen to him I have a question for those here that are regular listeners. If he is covering both teams and with the Giants tanking this year, one would think that there would at least as many rants by him about the Giants and current failures as there has been about the Jets and their current success. Can anyone comment on hearing simlar rants about the Giants tanking this year, or anotherwords is, he even handed about pointing out each teams perceived shortcomings?
to sum it up he basically said ... the giants need to rebuild...but while they do they will still win
I'm not going to take offense to every comment he says seeing as how the purpose of his show is to piss people off and make them call in (please be aware that some on this board don't/refuse to understand that), but he didn't really blast the Giants as much as he was within his rights to do. He did blast their defensive performances, but he didn't elaborate on it as much as he could have. For the Jets the real ax he had to grind was against the early-season chatter, specifically coming from Bart Scott. He blasted him, but I don't think he was as horrible as some made it out to be.
He whined about Sanchez and the hot dog plus the scripted media conference too, as well as bashing some of Rex's comments on the one hand while with the other claiming he was still rooting for him.
He doesn't rant about the Giants. He talks shit about them for about 3-4minutes than ends the topic for the entire day.
