OK yesterday's game was interesting to say the least. HOwever, there were a couple things that we could have done differently to win. 1. let me get it out of the way. kick the field goal on 4th and 2. We ran on first and second down. We should've tried throwing on third. IF it didnt work, we should have kicked for 3. On the following drive the colts found themselves on a 4th and 2 at our 2 yard line and what they do? they kicked. Are defense did not play well on that drive up until the goal line stance and they still kicked. we should have done the same. 2. stop the run. our d has been horrible gainst the running game. Its absurd that we've given up over 150 yards the last 2 games. Adjustments need to be made. bigger bodies need to be found. whatever it takes, MAngini needs to make the right adjustments because he hasnt for a few weeks now. 3. blitz more. with manning's history under pressure. we should have attacked him relentlessly. especially on 3rd downs. 4. Finally, Justin Miller should have returned the final kickoff. that ball should not have been put into washington's hands. Miller had the confidence and after giving up the play to wayne, had the motivation. dont get me wrong, i love washington, but the ball needed to go to miller on the final return, he earned it and he is no longer a rookie. he's been through return problems and washington has not. Even if he got the ball to he 20 or 25, we could have had a chance to get 3.
