I no longer care to remember about the Jet's of the past and the many times where we had the chance and blew it. I no longer associate these new Jets with the old regimes. It's a brand new day. A different team, with a wonderful attitude.
As I watch them play I am mindful of the fact that they are, after all, over achievers, perhaps not quite as talented as their record indicates, still weak against the run, and yes, Chad who I love as a leader is not the second coming of Joe Montana, or Joe Namath for that matter.
But these Jets, I am proud to see and feel, ARE ALWAYS PREPARED, always playing to win, not not-to-loose, Always, and I mean always, giving 100% and put in the best position to have a chance to succeed. I can sense the confidence in the youngsters, and the pasion in the veterans. This TEAM BELIEVES in themselves and in each other. It is that winning feeling that permeates to the players and the fans.
The game against the Dolphins had all the signs of a major trap in terrible weather and hostile environment, but we stood tall and won it. It might not have been over-powering but it was good enough to win. And the best part, I had a different feeeling through out the game, a feeling that these Jets will figure out a way to win.
Next week, I feel confident the Jets will be if nothing else, PREPARED. No let down, or thinking about the playoffs. They will come to beat the Raiders. Period.
I am extremely proud of the Jets and young Mangini. We have exceeded expectations. No matter where we go from here, I have a winning feeling for the future the likes of which I have not had in a long, long, long time.

Congratulation Jets and give them hell Sunday. We will root and cheer like we have not done for a while. We are on our way.

I agree. Feels so much different this year, and that has nothing to do records and scores. Tough this to explain, but you hit it pretty well, I think.

To me, I think part of it is I had no expectations for this team so when they lost it didn't hurt as much and if they happened to play tough against a better team I sort of took extra solace in that.

When they win, it's a bonus and what I'm seeing is a team that is playing as a team and has some real potential for the future. I always thought the team was more talented then it's record last year and that the injuries crushed us. This year we've been relatively healthy and we've gotten a lot of contributions from younger guys.

I do agree with what I've heard and read so far that basically though as Chad goes so do the Jets. If he plays pretty well we have a shot to win, if he doesn't we don't. That will be something that will need to change for us to go to the next level but we have young players on both sides of the ball and hopefully a few can eventually step up and help make more big plays, especially on the D side of the ball.
