This can be interpreted as a good and bad thing:

Good: TGG has become so popular that people join it just for the heck of it.

BAd: Some people find it amusing to just clog up membership on this board.

Sorry you had to go through all that petro.

Don't know if he ties into a SQL server. If he did, he could do a query and then just write the SQL to delete those in the database who are inactive. Not difficult.

I didn't mean it as it was difficult...he still had to do something to eradicate annoying people who have no respect for his board.

I think it's just all the people with zero posts. It's just a waste of room.

could have thrown in a date criteria as well; like not posting in the last year or something.

More importantly some of the great poster names 51PA thought up are now up for grabs.........................

I'm sure there was some sort of time criteria at all. I'm sure people who registered yesterday but didn't post were not deleted.

Speed is a function of the server processing speed, bandwidth, and how the overriding database was designed - indexes replicated close to the database paging criteria, etc.

It looks like people who registered in the last few days are gone. Or at least, many are not showing up on the members list.
