Which SF 49ers uniforms do you like better? It seems like they go back to the 80's look a few times every year. I think they should just go back to those. More specifically the helmets. or
It's just a pet peeve of mine. I was just watching the 49ers/Vikings game and they were wearing the 80's uniforms which is why I thought of it.
I like the old ones. I never understood why a team that has a great history with one uniform would ever change, but I'm very superstitious. Like when the Houston Rockets won two NBA titles and then changed to those awful pinstriped ones for a while.
I undertand teams changing looks. Howvere changing back is good too. That's what the Jets pretty much did. We went back to the old look. Now that's the good stuff.
This will be funny when I change my avatar. I've probably used roughly 20 avatars in the past two months. To answer the question, it is a Frankford Yellow Jackets logo. They won the NFL title in 1926. (The Bears finished in 2nd place that year with a record of 12-1-3.) FYJ year-by-year record: 1924: 11-2-1 1925: 13-7-0 1926: 14-1-2 1927: 6-9-3 1928: 11-3-2 1929: 9-4-5 1930: 4-13-1 1931: 1-6-1 The team disbanded during the '31 season due to lack of funds and a bad stadium. It could not survive the Great Depression. On December 4, 1926 the Yellow Jackets defeated the Bears 7-6. That game essentially decided the league title that year. (There was no postseason play in the NFL until 1933. {The Bears and the Spartans did meet in a playoff game in 1932, but it counted in the regular standings.})
