Two games against teams with a combined 25-7 record last year. Offensive line still developing, defense finding an identity. By the way, the o-line will only get better. Don't know if you noticed, but David Harris played in Q4, he made a difference. Also, I think once Dyson gets healthy he and Revis will be very good. Also, there is NO panic in this coaching staff...which is far better than the majority of the fan base. Westhoff is the best in the business and will fix the ko coverage problems. Nugent is money. The second half of this game was the second half of the Cleveland game last year, we found an identity. Remember, we were 4-4 last year at the halfway point...
Never thought I would have agreed with this after the first 3 quarters. Chad vs Kellen is going to be a very interesting battle though.
I agree, the next 3 games feature all 0-2 teams (maybe the next 4). All it takes is the jets to play like they did late in today's game for a full 4 quarters.
i think we can take miami next week. what scares me about them is that today they got 21 first downs, 15 of which came on passing plays. not to say that we have the worst dbacks in the league, but the fact that we cant even come close to breathing on any qb this season makes me believe that green will have all day to throw back there and might make it a point to get 6-7 yd completions all day a'la pennington. but he did have 4 picks and 2 sacks today so i think with home field we take the fins. buffalo, like posted above, is a always a tough game when it's in buffalo. what helps us is that we're a disciplined team (what 2 penalties today? both in the 2nd half i believe) and theyre pretty awful at 3rd down conversions this year, so hopefully our D wont be out on the field all day long. i think it'll come down to who's at qb for us. if chad is in there i dont think we pull it off, if clemens is in there, i think we have a shot to win in buffalo...not a guarantee win in my opinion, but a slightly better chance. as for the giants, i dont know why but i have a weird gut feeling that their running game is gonna kill us. can we win this game? most definitely. is it a slam dunk? im not so sure. the only way this becomes a slam dunk win for us is if they lose to both the redskins and eagles and the ship is sinking fast for coughlin and company. otherwise i think it'll be a tight game. dont know, just a gut feeling. so can we be a 3-2 team after week 5? definitely in the realm of possibilites. but i think 2-3 is a more realistic picture oh, forgot to add a big factor i think will also obviously be the health status of cotchery and nugent. i think nuge is ok but he was limping a bit after sacrificing the body during that one KO return.
   It certaintly will be easier to win these next few games then it has been these last two.
I think we'll be fine even if we go 2-1 and end up at 2-3. The next three teams will be much easier than the pats and baltimore. Shit look what the pats are doing to san diego right now! We'll be fine
The Next Three This is really where I thought we'd be 0-2. I also thought (and still think) that the season would not be over at 0-2. The next three games are against teams we "should" (or at least "can") beat. We played a great offense and a great defense -- the next three have neither. Miami @ Buffalo @ Giants. I dont think well sweep these three but I think 2-1 and a goal of 3-3 or 4-4 after 6/8 is doable.
MIA and NYG are winable due to awful play and our team picking it up against a really talented Baltimore team. Buffalo always is annoying, but then being able to go 4-4 by week 9 is about outscoring Cincy like Cleveland did. Fuck the Eagles.
I don't see us sweeping both Miami and the Bills, so 2-3 or 3-2 are most likely. Also, I absolutely hate it when people say 'x is happening, write it down' or 'mark it down.' It doesn't make anyone sound smart, just a massive tool.
When the schedule came out most of us penciled in two losses for these first 2 games. We lost and we now move on to the rest of our schedule. We could win our next 4 games and be on track for a Wild Card spot. Let's focus on a win next Sunday and take it from there.!:jets: :jets: :jets:
