Just curious guys. In the past, game three was when the starters played the most, and then rested on game 4. What is the new strategy with three games, make this one the dress rehearsal, make the last one count or split reps equally between the two? Any ideas?
Does anyone know how to watch the game after it airs without recording it? I wanted to go, but I'm in Milwaukee for work. I wanted to watch it, but I'll be at work... So.. Highlights are great and all, but I wanted to actually see it. Go Pack. Crush that punk Wilson! (Kidding)
Just read the Packers like the Giants will be sitting most of their starters. That will be now 2 weeks in a row of the Jets not really going against 1s in a game. The most telling competition will be in the joint practices that we don’t get to see. That’s disappointing as a fan.
I don't understand why teams are completely sitting their starters. I get the counter argument, preseason injuries and such, but there's only 3 preseason games this year. You don't want your starters playing a few series in live play before the regular season? I really don't get it
First off Joe Judge is an idiot. I don't even think he knows what it means to be a HC. With Packers, they are a 13-3 team and players are the same coaching staff are the same. Understandable. I am sure there are teams like us playing their starters but too bad we aren't playing them.
With the Packers being a championship-level team, I don't mind so much that we won't be facing their starters. I don't think we'd have a great chance of winning even if it was a regular season game, and their backups may be as good as starters on other teams, so our younger players will still get a test. They're learning in the practices, so I think it will be OK. My only concern with facing just the backups is that some backup trying to make a name for himself might get one of our players seriously injured. As long as we get out of the practice today and game Saturday with no new injuries, I'll be happy.
